Title speaks for itself. I want to know who you think and why.

I say Jarvis Landry. He is the heart and soul of the offense and a leader. If used right, he could be more deadly, but he has to be Tannehill's security blanket without a true TE. That ends this year I hope. Obviously his big play ability in ST's makes him very versatile. With a contract due soon, he will have a huge season

Cameron Wake. He is the best until someone proves to be better. Even though he is old, no one has proved to be better.

I think his inability to stop the run and set the edge makes him the second best player on the line and maybe 3rd or 4th overall on the team

I think Landry's inability to go over the top, too many important dropped passes, and stupid penalties keep him from being the best player.

Also, I know he just did it over 12 games, however, if I were to go by last season alone, I would but Jay Ajayi as the best player on offense.

Reshad Jones, followed by Ndamukong Suh, Cameron Wake, Jarvis Landry and Ryan Tannehill. Jay Ajayi and Mike Pouncey could make a case for the top five, as well.

Best pure talent? Suh... Let's be serious, he's a juggernaut. Jones and Wake follow at 2-3. Oddly, our three best players play on the worst unit.

Last season the linebacking unit only had one player who was worth it. When the team is starting Paysinger and Donald Butler, they are going to be in trouble.

Yeah Landry is the emotional heart and soul but is too limited physically. Suh can be argued is top 2-3 in the league at his position. Wake is beastly too with pass rushing. Reshad is tops as well.

Reshad Jones for reals. Wheels came off the bus when he went down. Suh, Wake, Landry is my souls favorite player.

IMO the most underrated as far as value to the TEAM...

Jay Ajayi was my favorite player last year. If he improves on catching the ball and improves on what he did last year (especially with teams watching out for him and with our possibly dreadful interior offensive line) he will be the best, IMO.

Edit: Run the damn ball, Adam Gase!

with so much talent, we will see you surfaces. However, my criteria is going to be if it is defense, who helps us get off the field and on offense who keeps us on or is a scoring machine. I'm surprised no one said Stills.

Ndamukong Suh. He is dominant, he plays a lot of snaps, he is never hurt. And he can still play better than how he played last season.

Spot on. Ask yourself this, if he wasn't having to come up so much and play like a LB in the past, do you think his rotator cuff is damaged?? The man was an absolute beast back there who was out to prove all the naysayers about the positive test and suspension. In my eyes he has more than proved he can ball out naturally back there as he has been the sole reason our LBs have looked average the past few seasons. Once he was out, the unit was completely exposed for what it was.

    1. Jones
    2. Suh
    3. Wake

Those three are on the top tier and top 5 in the league at their position types. You could make an argument for a healthy Pouncey or Ajayi also being on that tier with more consistency. Obviously the odds of us seeing that Pouncey again seem remote, but he would have been fourth on that list before last season. Ajayi could get there. He certainly was a top 5 back in the league for several weeks last season. If he follows it up with another great season we would have to include him among any best player on our team list.

The next tier has Tannehill and Landry. Tannehill could jump to the top tier if he truly masters this offense. He should be better of course in his second season, but you see QBs really understand the nuances of an offense after being in the same system for at least 3 years (usually 4 or 5 years). I see Landry as a top 10 guy. He's probably never going to be a top 5 guy. He's arguably the heart and soul of our team and potentially a HOF player, but I think the best you can realistically hope for is a Hines Ward like career (HOF WR but never really a top 5 in any given season). I'd really like to see a little more consistency from Landry, both in terms of catching the ball and limiting his negative emotional outbursts.

Tunsil might get there. Reportedly many inside the Dolphin organization feel he has top 5 level talent. Other guys with potential to get there but are more realistically long shots to reach this tier are Howard, Stills and Parker. Howard has the best shot. (Top CB lists, like top RB lists tend to be very fluid where a guy can be the best in the league a couple of seasons and then off the list completely). IMO Howard has the talent to be a top 10 CB. Stills has Antonio Brown-lite potential if he ever fully developed his game. He's young and is reportedly very hard working, level-headed and driven so that bodes well. Brown is probably the best route runner I've seen since Steve Largent. Stills would have to similarly develop his route running to reach his potential. Parker has shown flashes of dominance, but he needs to make some huge strides in terms of consistency and availability to reach his potential.

Am I seriously the first one to say Tannehill? While I love Suh, Wake, Ajayi, Landry, Parker, etc....they're all basically one-dimensional specialty players. They do a couple of things well and they do it often. Tannehill has vision, leadership, speed, agility, a great arm, etc. etc. There's no team without him.

Of course, an argument can be made for Jones as well...but I can't see calling him the best on the team when he just spent a year away from the game. He's about as elite as it gets in the defensive backfield though if he's healthy.

Reshad Jones. With the help of Suh and Wake he made a bad defense reasonable. Can't wait to have him back!

If he hadn't gone and dropped that WIDE OPEN HIT HIM IN THE HANDS!!!! pass RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME at the shehacks game last year he might have had a shot. But that one still hurts a little. May never stop.

Despite it being almost twenty years since he's played on the field, his mere presence around the franchise helps us win.

Landry top 10? I have him outside the top 10.

    In rough particular order

    Brown
    Julio
    Odell
    Dez
    Aj Green
    Hopkins
    Evans
    Nelson
    TY Hilton

Is he better than Brandin Cooks? Michael Thomas? Doug Baldwin? Desean Jackson? Allen Robinson had a down year traced directly back to Bortles' regression, but I see him as having a much higher ceiling if he had a half accurate qb.

I see Landry as sneaking into the top 10 at his peak. But there are usually always enough big play big production guys to keep him out of the top 10 IMO.

But he was much better in 2016 than 2015, where I had him lower (closer to the 20s). He was catching too many passes near the LOS, but in 2016 he was much better

You can make an argument that they almost never played together last season. They were together and starting only against the Steelers when we kicked them asses around and shut 'em down save for a big play on a reverse. They are the defense unicorns.

I think this should break down into an offense/defense category.

    On offense:
    Ryan Tannehill

    Defense:
    Reshad Jones

Suh, obviously. He's an elite talent, always has been always will be. Some folks just don't get football, or don't like him and try and pretend he isn't elite lol. Jones is awesome, but we don't make that run we did last year with Suh out of the lineup, he's that special. We're not talking about a melty average or a Russell Wilson here. Nice players, but comically over rated due to being QB's on elite football TEAMS hahaha.

I love Suh. But he needs help on this run defense badly. I can't say someone is the best if their just take up blockers. Once someone can step in and stop the run, then Suh's contributions could make him the best

So then who is better on the Dolphins? Jones who we went like 7-1 with after his injury during the regular season? Wake who tbh is somewhat of a liability against the run? There's no one on offense, Landry isn't even close to the talent Suh is and he's probably the best on that side of the ball. Suh is easily the best player on this team, other DC's know it and adjust their game-plans accordingly, as they should. Like I said we don't make the playoffs last year if you swap a Jones injury with a Suh injury, Suh is the more valuable football asset.
