Damien Williams signs one-year contract with Dolphins http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-dolphins/fl-sp-dolphins-damien-williams-20170511-story.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hopefully he plays well this season. As last year went on, he and RT developed a good thing in the passing game, especially on wheel routes. That being said, I want Drake to take his job, and I want to use Ajayi at the goaline. I think that Drake has a lot more potential, and Williams will want even more money next season. As our #3 RB, thats not a good investment, so this is likely his last season as a Dolphin.
Gase could motivate this kid enough ,like Stills, because of a contract year. I hear what you say about Drake, his potential and contract. Im hoping, globally, this year at least, that we have an arsenal of weapons at the RB position like we do Wr Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Homeboy has a nose for the end zone. Glad to have him back. Nice comment on the whole wheel route thang.
Looks like he fixed his dropsie problem last year. Hes a good backup punt return option and makes plays on ST too so... Sure, why not.
He's actually never returned a punt in the NFL. He returned 21 kicks in 2015, but was very inconsistent. Only had three returns last season, and is likely buried on the KR depth chart now.
Not a huge fan of his. I find him one-dimensional. I actually hope that Ajayi and Drake develop enough in the passing game to take away some of his snaps. IMO they both have enough talent to be as good as Williams in the passing game and are already superior as runners. Not that I'm upset with the signing. He's clearly a weapon in the passing game.
Very true. Hopefully Drake takes a step but he does have a history of injuries doesn't he? Either way it's nice to have Williams to take some carries and for depth, especially at a position like RB.
Good news. Guy is a quality football player and good teams have talented depth on their roster. It's ok to say that and still root for Drake to make a leap forward, imo.
I'm just thinking that when Grant goes down or loses the job because he can't catch the ball, who's up? Don't want Landry doing it. Drake has done well on KR so maybe. Williams can at least field the ball and fall forward and has felt the pressure so he could if needs be.
I hear you. It would be great if Drake outperformed him. I don't care if Santa Claus is the one putting points on the board as long as we get as many as possible. We'll worry about future years in future years. Just my thought.
