There's a 90-in-90 fan post series starting over at The Phinsider, thought it might be interesting to track. "90 Dolphins players in 90 articles. Let’s make sure we know our roster from top to bottom." Good thread let's keep it alive. Not a huge Misi fan. He's just kinda Meh. Glad he has a chance to compete again though he deserves it as he proved he wants to be here. Just need more out of him.
I just hope our LB corp is heads and shoulders better. Based on how injury depleted we were last year, if not injured, I'd keep him at least on the practice squad or something. We needed everyone we could get last year.
I think it is a season too early to do this with Carroo. Depth and Youth is all I have to say. Knowing Gase, he will light a fire under this kid and get him to play. We always have to factor in the injury probability of Parker. Having a big body like him, along with Thomas, close to the end zone, can results in more points, less FG's.
Man, I forgot about Carroo. I mean at a minimum, 48 catches and 500 yards would bode well for him and this offense. Has anyone even spoke about 4 wide with him, Parker, Juice and Stills? And add Thomas?
I really like Hewitt. I don't want him as a starter, but I think he's great as a depth player and on STs. I see his talent level and intelligence, work ethic as high enough that he could be a capable fill-in starter if needed. I'm very confident in what we have at LB in Alonso, Timmons and Mcmillan as starters and Hewitt as depth. If Misi stays healthy then we'd have a very solid 5. We play 2 LBs most often and 3 LBs about a third of the time so having 5 or 6 we trust would be perfect. They seem pretty high on Lacey and I like the potential in Allen. I see Hull as primarily a STs guy. He probably sticks on the roster for that reason, but I'm hoping Lacey and/or Allen provide upgrades.
I agree that those big bodies may pay dividends in the redzone. Those two plus Ajayi and improved interior OL blocking can go a long way towards improving our redzone efficiency.
I appreciate the good work, but it feels like everybody is gonna make this roster. I think you guys need to rethink the percentages you are giving that these guys make the team. Amongst Hull, Doughty, Carroo, Hewitt, and Misi, I would be absolutely shocked if they all made the team.
Caroo and Misi are locks, Misi's money is guaranteed, and the cost of Caroo, not to mention he was one of the stars of the mini's, supposedly he's got the O down much better.
