I really don't go through life basing my opinions on how the many or "few" think. I felt and still believe they gave up too much. But he will not, imo be a bust. The kid can play but they(Tbaum to be exact) made a huge miscalculation. You trade 3 picks for & use a 3rd rounder on someone, he'd better be:
A - contributing heavily(and at worst #2 on depth chart)
    and
B - on your roster at least 3-4 seasons

But b/c of a numbers game, that's not gonna happen with us so that's why they must salvage the original trade and get something for Caroo. You don't just cut bait on this investment.

That's true, but WR in particular can take a year or 3 to acclimate to, and that kid has real skills.

I was against the pick as soon as it was made. Not because of the player but because of the strategy. A 2 for Landry. A 3 for Stills. A 1 for Parker. Matthews showed great chemistry with Tanny before getting hurt. You let him walk. Fine.

The only way I see Carroo as not a mistake is if he pans out and Landry signs elsewhere. You have Stills resigned. Parker a couple years left plus an option. If they resign Landry that's 3. Where does Carroo fit?

I was against the pick because we needed a LB more than we needed another option at WR.

MMQB is in full force. Carroo was an alpha dog in college. He's big, strong, and was productive. Maybe he can transition to the NFL...Maybe he can't. If he can be Rashard Matthews good, it was a good trade. If Parker or Landry miss time, we need a player to step up. Let's give this a chance to work past his rookie season + 1 OTA.

does anyone know the exact issue why he can't get on the field? we should be rooting for this this kid to get it together rather than waiting for him to be cut so we can roast Tannenbaum

    Well away from here
I think people are looking at the wrong position in terms of people getting hurt to see Caroo on the field.

With Julius Thomas's propensity to miss time we could very well see Caroo in 4 wide out sets. Fasano is not a passing option that will cause defenses to adjust. A 4 receiver set? That will cause defenses to adjust and will place their fourth best corner on the field instead of a linebacker.

We could still run the ball with Ajayi as DB's won't be lining up to hit his *** all day.

    But maybe that's just me.
