No 42 is a pretty impressive ranking. While all of these rankings are subjective it clearly shows that some in the NFL rate Landry specifically and the slot position in general higher than some here. The idea that he wouldn't make the list b/c he was a slot WR or couldn't be higher than Dez Bryant was proven wrong.

is that it for the list for Miami?
Could Rashad Jones still make it? I assume Pouncey would have a shot too?
But that would be it, right?

danmarino says Tannehill in top 5. Easy there, danny boy

Jones was ranked 64 last season. I don't think Pouncy has ever made the top 100.

    2017 NFL Top 100 Players - Dolphins
Jarvis Landry, wide receiver - 42
Ndamukong Suh, defensive tackle - 55
Cameron Wake, defensive end - 62
Jay Ajayi, running back - 69

My list would have Suh and Wake above Landry but as I said before it's all subjective. And Reshad Jones won't make the list due to his injury last season, but IMO he is the best player on the team. He started off on pace to have a monster season. If he can stay healthy I expect he'll make an appearance there next year. I'm also hopeful that Tannehill will have a season that places him on the list next year.

I'm not always right and freely admit when I'm wrong.

There is also nothing subjective about saying Landry won't be on the list when he's on the list and higher than many thought. The list is subjective, but the proclamation he won't be on it is objectively wrong.

YEP and I was one of them. Unlike MANY people on this site, I want to come clean and admit I was wrong. Further, I'd like to commend Dirty Landry specifically and any others that maintained the faith;. Well done!

Usually you need two back to back elite seasons to climb the list. IIRC, Reshad had one great year, then a down year, then a great year, then the injury (but perhaps my memory is hazy on that one). As you say, this list is subjective. These guys are watching film on their opponents but I'm sure the rest of them are just catching highlights on ESPN and NFLN like most of us. The players need to be in their stream of consciousness and so I think the rankings lag real life by a year or two. I can't imagine that many players watching film of non-opponents in the free time just for fun.

Cam Newton is 44. Mariota 50. Is Tanny on here? Cam played like crap last year. Dak is top 40 for sure (he's confirmed on the list, and hasn't appeared yet). Does he belong on there? I think RG3 was 15 his first year. I think the list is generally about who the players played that year (so they have watched some film and played them) and who they like seeing on highlights. Reshad is awesome but doesn't hit the news fighting the kicking net for example.

I know you were trying to be funny, but what's really funny is that his Top 25 level guess was closer than not even on the list guess.

Yeah, they should only vote on players they played against that year, that shouldn't be difficult for them to do.

Wrong, but closer, is not as wrong? True.

I just went back, and there wasn't anyone really really negative about him not being on the list. The one poster really thinking he was left off were disappointed because they really wanted him on there and was still hoping for it. Oh and he started this thread (and apologized).

Not sure why the "hahahaha" and slap yourself comments were necessary.

He was just expressing his emotional roller coaster, emotion by emotion, on this thread for some reason. :D

Slap yourself if you thought I was making a comment on any poster in this thread. Or any other. That's not how I play.

Slap yourself if you need to WAKE UP and smell the burnt DB. Landry not being a top 100 player this year was not a realistic train of thought. And plenty o peeps was thinking just that.

Oh and next year he should be 28. Based on math. 7x14=98 3x14=42 so next year 2x14=28.

By the way. Those poopooing on the idea that slot wrs are less valuable than perimeter guys in the eyes of NFL players.

Landry is the best slot wr in the league right? Certainly he's in that conversation

The top wr will probably be in the top 10. Maybe top 5. He'll there might be 3-4 in the top 10

On onto something that really matters, think this will help further divide the Dolphins and Landry in contract talks?

The top 100 is based on players' votes so it's influenced by who individual players face that season and/or who comes to mind.

IMHO, Ajayi is the MVP of the team. Wake being next, then Jones, then Suh, then Landry, then Kiko. And I love Landry.
