I didn't see the game on TV yet, but on NFL.com Play-by-Play I don't see that Kircus even touched the ball, was he even playing? This Jags game was supposed to evaluate "players on the bubble". What input do you guys have on the 'bubble' Receivers, who stays and who goes?
Sorry to disagree guys but Wilford really needs to go; Kircus has better hands and runs better routes, to me. Bess needs to FOCUS, whats with him and penalties???? At least that can be coached out, I hope!
Didn't seem like Kircus played which doesn't bode well for him. Still, I think he's outplayed Wilford who will only make the team over Kircus because of the guaranteed money. Ginn Hagan Bess Wilford Camarillo looks like the final 5.
I agree with most of you here, I think its going to be... Ginn Hagan Wilford Bess and probably Camarillo or Kircus. I can see that one going either way.
I think he probably stays, also. He's caught 5 balls in the 2 games this year. They may keep kircus, too. He's a solid ST player.
Hard to tell atm really. Ginn, Hagan and Bess almost certainly will. Wilford hasnt played well and lost his starter status, but hes still potentially a devastating short range/redzone weapon, and he was given some decent cash and brought in specifically by this management team, so hard to see him getting cut. That leaves Cam and Kirc as has been discussed, its a toss up imo.
Me, I hope we keep 6 WRs. I know it's unlikely due to the formations we use; what with a FB and flexed TE. But as you said, Kircus probably has an edge over Camirillo.
Wilford may be struggling right now but I expect him to pick his game up. I expect him to stay because he's our most experienced receiver at five years.
What about a waver wire player? If we were to pick someone up at WR, where does that leave us in terms of who stays? Could Wilford be out too?
Honestly, I hope we only keep 5. I realize its hard to decide on that last spot, but neither of those guys is going to leave here and make a pro bowl. With all of the 2 te and te/h-b we're going to run, we'll rarely even use 4 wr's. I would rather keep a guy like Beck or an extra o-lineman or d-lineman who we can develop with that roster spot.
Kirkus or Wilford....Kircus is a guy with a short fuze and off the field issues, but he can catch it better then Wilford, so take your pick.
Well Dunlap is already gone and Camarillo seems to have locked a spot and Armstrong is impressing the coaching staff. That being said I think it pans out: 1. Ted Ginn 2. Derek Hagan 3. Wilford or Camarillo (they seem to be giving Wilford the benefit of the doubt) 4. same or if they make a surprising move it could be Camarillo 3 with Armstrong or Bess at 4. 5. Kircus (looking pretty consistent) 6. Armstrong/Bess If Bess and Foster don't make the team they may be on the Practice squad. These are just my humble opinions of what it looks like right now.
