JJ tells Barry Jackson that he has no visits scheduled and that he will wait for Heat's Hayward pursuit to play out before making any decisions

I think he already knows the numbers either way and is in agreement

I'm not sure there's been a veteran addition that's endeared himself to me in one year more than JJ. If they can land Hayward and bring him back, that would be an amazing offseason.

Per Shams Charminia, Utah and Minnesota engaged in trade talks regarding Ricky Rubio

This is big news as it relates to Hayward. We had reports that Hayward really wanted Utah to keep Hill. If this deal happens, then obviously that's out.

Utah has to make the deal before midnight or they lose a $16 million trade exception so they can take Rubio essentially for free giving nothing back to Minnesota who just doesn't want Rubio

So what's Hayward's thoughts on this? Could Utah be out before midnight?

    Rubio to Jazz

I like Rubio but Dragic and IT better

Hayward probably a better fit with Dragic

If Dion develops at the rate he did last year, he could maybe end up being that good, but right now it isn't close. Hayward was one of the 15 best players in the NBA last season, and he's still at the beginning of his prime. I think a lot of people don't realize just how good this guy is.

There's all kinds of racist tweets by people in Utah right now about why Hayward won't go to Miami (He's a "pale white boy"; he'd never fit in those hip-hop communities; it's a bad place to be if you're a woman; etc.). If he does end up signing with the Heat, it's going to be a racism firestorm.

Miami is diverse, anyone can fit in. Ryan tanehill is an AR15 totin boy from big spring for crying out loud.

Those tweets are definitely not how most ppl feel, and are probably coming from Boston lol

Tim Bontemps reporting that Magic will offer 4/60 to Utah's Joe Ingles which he doesn't expect Utah to match

First, that's yet another example of why the Magic have sucked for 10 years and it further pushes Hayward away.

Also TJ at $50 million seems pretty reasonable compared to that

Apparently Ingles was Hayward's best friend on Jazz and they share an agent (along with JJ)

If he's already soliciting big offer sheets elsewhere for Ingles I'd say the Jazz are about to be decimated in the next 48 hours or so

Well, it's Hayward or bust now, but the good news is, the Celtics can't sell adding George as well. The other great thing is if we land Hayward, the Celtics get shut out completely.

Only Dipo and Sabonis, no picks.

Come on. Absolutely garbage. Winslow/TJ better

I give Presti credit. He knows he could lose both Russ and George but he goes for it anyway. A Riley type

    Ainge is the opposite. Cowardice

It's a big gamble. Not only do you risk losing PG, you potentially increase the risk of losing Westbrook if he develops a relationship with George and PG convinces him to leave.

True but he understands it's OKC. Their only hope is trades and convincing guys to stay.

I'm honestly pissed we didn't get him. Maybe we tried, I have no idea. But I would absolutely rather have TJ and Winslow or J-Rich than hot garbage Oladipo and whatever Sabonis may be

I'm sure he's gone next year. They just lost oladipo for a rental. They're going to be worse when PG leaves.

    And we're coming for Russ.

Plus it's not like he gave up a whole lot. Losing Russ is the biggest risk here and he might have been gone anyway.

They gave up nothing, which shows how crappy the other offers must've been.

Hilarious tweet from Cavs message board

"Isaiah Thomas just followed "future first round pick" on Instagram"
