I expect Bam to become a fan favorite. First of all, his name is "Bam". Second, he's a dynamic dunker. Third, he's a high energy guy. And fourth, he'll probably put up offensive rebounding numbers. That will probably get fans asking for more minutes for him, but he may not be worthy of it until he learns his defensive assignments and to focus on defense.

He'll definitely get at least 4 playoff games to introduce himself to the rest of the league/fans as well.

    Oh well

Looking at it from non homer glasses it makes sense

One of the issues for the Heat right now is that while our market, culture, etc., gets us in every room it's going to be hard to land a "whale" without having one first

All these guys want to be on superteams so you either need a star already or the ability to get two at once.

We don't have that right now and I don't really know how we get there. I guess we sign JJ/Waiters to short deals and they become pieces for a trade, at worst.

This would be the best thing to happen to Celtics fans if he didn't end up choosing them.

Regardless of recent reports say of Hayward did not sign with Boston it is where he is heading. If I'm Pat Riley I'm seeing what value there is on Winslow.

Im actually kinds hoping he does... he makes Boston better... does he make the Heat significantly better? I dont think so... we would still need another piece to be a serious contender... and we would be paying this guy 25 million a year ..

Hayward is definitely a top 5 SF.

    1) LeBron 2)Kevin Durant 3)Kawahi Leonard 4)Paul George 5)Gordon Hayward.

He is still an ascending player who is entering his prime. He is a capable scorer, defender, and has a well rounded game, and he has shown consistent improvement year to year thus far.

It's not his fault that 4 of the best players in the whole NBA happen to play small forward. LeBron, Durant, and Leonard are all top 5 players. Paul George is arguably in that top 5 group as well.
