Can you imagine if RT was a super bowl mvp? He would be the best qb to ever play for Miami. They would have to hire Jeff Ireland

I really, really think that it's our year...we are so stacked on offense with talent. If the defense is average, I think we have a legit shot and making it happen.

    Which one? RT or Ireland?

Because if RT wins a super bowl and /or wins an mvp of a super bowl he automatically is better than Marino

Listen Im a Danny fan. He was the one that got me into football and Miami. He will always be my fave Dolphin, but if someone ends up better than him, in or out of the Phins, I am ok with admitting thay

  10. Bite your tongue! Seriously! As punishment! Hahaha

I can see this happening, but I think the likelihood of it would be next year. Or the year after. Fix the O line & this offense is SICK!

That's pure nonsense. I like Tannehill but even if he wins a Super Bowl and is MVP he'll have quite a ways to catch up to Marino.

You basically just said Dilfer and Flacco are better than Marino.

RT's are better than those two. Plus when he is done he might be close to records

It was all going along so well, until he said "dominant offensive line" That's where I woke up. I would hope we could beat the Vikings tho. And if it were to happen, what a set up for a repeat on OUR home field.

What the hell is this? Do they do one for each team or does this guy really think this?

    Either way I'm psyched.

He does lots of these, I don't think he does every team but he might. I haven't seen any others besides this one and he did a Cowboys and Texans one recently for this season.

No, absolutely not!!! I can't even believe that you would even suggest such a thing! Need a bit more evidence for your era comparison?

Take Marino in his prime and put him on THIS team. Would he be "better" or "worse" than the team he played with?

Take Tannehill and put him on any of the Marino era teams. Would he be "better" or "worse" than he is now?

Actually watched the video and I'm shaking my head. In the scenario, We sweep the Patriots and still have to play a wildcard game before going on to win the Super Bowl?

C'mon man...sweep the Pats and still have to play a wildcard game?

Steelers better be ready to jam some tampons in their buttholes in the playoffs to keep from having the Phins butt babies because we're going to *** hammer them in the playoffs this year.

Too much? Going for quote of the year here folks work with me.

If any team in the AFC is going to be better than the Pats, it's the Steelers, they will flirt with history on O this year, so I like that you're shooting for the top!

Yeah, I agree with the others....Marino practically wrote the history books in every major passing stat....and that was before the more generous pass interference rules, QB protections and other stuff kicked in. Marino is one of the best ever and Tannehill would have to win 3 Super Bowls in a row to even be in that conversation.

With that said, here's to hoping Tannehill gets in that conversation!

While I'm not one who would believe that Tannehill was better than Marino by simply winning a SB, I do expect that some would. Especially in the moment. There are posts questioning Griese's HOF credentials now b/c they never saw him play (other than highlights or old reels) and that largely leaves people overly focused on stats. The same will happen with Marino in time. Many will have never seen him play and you'll have people who know little beyond stats or can't analyze QBs beyond counting rings. Of course, you'll also have some who believe anything old must be better as well and would accuse people of blasphemy for speaking Dan's name in anything but reverent whispers.

    Let me predict the future.....

If Tannehill wins a Superbowl and gets the SB MVP these boards will ALWAYS have at least one annoying thread at ALL times FOREVER debating whether Marino was truly the best Dolphins QB since Tanny won a Superbowl and SB MVP and Danny did not.

    Annoying but true.

Prior to Peyton Manning winning his second Super Bowl, I would jokingly say to folks that his baby brother Eli was a better quarterback and why? Well, Eli had TWO Super Bowl Championships...beating the New England Patriots...TWICE!! Hell, Eli has 2 rings and big brother Peyton had only one...even none if my memory serves me correctly.

Is there anyone out there who would REALLY believe Eli was a better quarterback than Peyton? Of course not! If Tannehill were able to win a Super Bowl championship, does that make him a BETTER quarterback than Marino?

    C'mon man!

I agree with you in principle, but not in the particulars.

Eli is more clutch than Peyton, so I would take Eli over Peyton if I was starting a team.
