Unofficial so far. No reason to doubt this Tidei guy though, I guess.

Yeah of the options available I'd also be for Cutler.

Kind of similar to Tannehill in that he needs the right supporting cast, but with the right surrounding cast he should play similarly well I think. We have weapons on offense.. combine that with Gase and Cutler just might work out.

Oh boy, which Cutler will we get? He had a career year under Gase with not much at receiver for a third of the season (injuries to Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal).

I thought Matt Moore would at least get a shot (maybe he still does).

I know Bears fans didn't really enjoy his demeanor when he was a QB. As an outsider, I quite enjoyed his IDGAF attitude, as long as he DGAF about giving us hope for this season.

Nothing wrong with competition. Actually I'd be against it if Cutler was just handed the job without competition.

Yeah, I hope so. Don't want the throw-off-your-backfoot-into-double-coverage Cutler. Another negative: my phone will make sure I type Jay Cutlet about 400 times this year.

Yup, I seriously doubt Cutler was guaranteed the starting job- I'm sure he was told that he would be competing for it and had a fair shot at taking the QB1 role. Personally I think Moore wins the competition but I'm also heavily biased.

I hate autocorrect. If you're like me you'll turn it off on your phone.

Autocorrect is an example of AS, not AI, as in Artificial Stupidity.

If Moore wins, then I'm fine with that too. At worst we get a large enough sample size to see how good he really is with this surrounding cast.

Ian Rapoport from NFL network says the Dolphins are in contract discussions with Cutler. Cutler is the top choice to replace Tannehill.

Except Miami has a much more talented offense and cutler has a much bigger gun than Ryan does. Kenny stills would love this. With his familiarity with cutler and offense he can work in pretty quickly and be just as effective as Ryan has been.

I say "ready to take a beating", qb position may be a carousel of players this year. Unless they sign a mobile qb.

If there ever was a year to be better at blocking. It was this sorry offensive line that caused RT to run for his life yesterday and get injured

Up here in Philadelphia Steven a was covering the sixers. He constantly was trying to cause issues and going against the grain to get noticed. I see him doing the same in the national media as well he's not a serious source to me.

Can you imagine if that happens?

There would be no way Smokin Jay does that over Marino, right?

Steven A has never had an original good football thought in his career. Dude is a blowhard and I enjoy watching that show sink.

If this is accurate, I was hoping they'd get him for 1/yr $10 million, but they are probably splitting a signing bonus over two seasons, so not a big cap hit this year.

Hoping to see a well rested Jay Cutler come in and build on his knowledge of the Gase offense, takes full advantage of the offensive weapons around him, and displays a burning desire to prove his critics wrong on his way to playing the best season of his career.

In fact, I hope we have a great season and a nice playoff run. If that leads to a QB controversy in 2018 as Tanny comes back healthy? A good problem to have is what that is. We could sign Jay for another couple years, trade Tanny for a nice package of draft picks, and make a playoff run every year till about 2020 when we start a QB search again. Or we thank Jay for a great 2017 season and welcome Tanny back to an improving team with even more playoff experience and expectations.
