Tabby is done he will make a comeback but become a backup. We need to search for a QB now and draft / trade one next year.

CUtler shouldn't get 13 million however IMHO. If they do that they need to cut Tannehill and recoup some money

I agree with your logic, but Cutler said he would only come if he was guaranteed the starter role. I personally think this would be a great battle and Moore could win even though I believe Gase will get the best out of Cutler (smarter with the ball).

Am I the only one that finds Steven A Smiths conversational style hyper grating? I don't HATE a lot of people I don't know but I detest him. Like I don't like Omar Kelly but I freaking hate Steven A Smith. Just an angry knowitall.

Dude. I mean if thats all it took to goof up his knee on day 6 of training camp....seriously, the trainers and doctors should all be fired for thinking he didn't kneed the surgery. We're supposed to have this legendary sports science department that is the gold standard and our guys can't get a freaking smoothie without getting hurt.

That's how he remains relevant he plays the angry anti whatever guy. He does t stand by his words and changes his mind often to find a confrontation point.

I didn't see it that way- Tannehill saw an opening and bolted. That's what he should have done six years ago but Philbin and company would scream at him to stay in the pocket and take the hit/sack. Imagine what he would have developed into by now if it wasn't for the ridiculous coaching. It's like telling a Gazelle to pretend to be a llama.

At this point hes the best option.

    First his familiarity with gase.

Second we arent giving up a draft pick for him... the vikings gave up a first round pick for Sam bradford because they foolishly thought they were super bowl contenders.. We werent thinking super bowl before the tannehill injury, and theres no quarterback available on the block that gets us there..

So cutler it is. Kaepernick should be a backup on some team, just not this team.

I don't see them signing him as a starter and certainly not for 13 million

    LMAO!!!!!!

Ok, let me get this straight...

Tannehill is done for the year. You obviously have ZERO faith in Matt Moore.
Bring in Cutler for ONE year. So we'll have Cutler and Moore on the roster.
    Cutler goes away next year.
You say cut Tannehill so HE goes away.
We'll have Moore as the starter?
Draft a rookie QB who'll ride the bench behind Moore?

Your quarterback logic makes zero sense at all. :pity:

The only thing Steven A Smith knows at all is that he's angry. He's as stupid as a football bat.

My logic kinda does. By cutting Ryan you save a boatload of money. You use that money to lure either another QB in free agency or in a trade. My reasoning behind this is if tannyhill is out for the year he's not going to be better next year it usually takes 2-3 years to get back into shape mentally and physically.

At that time he would have been your starter for 6-7 years and produced zero playoff appearences. Matt Moore is every bit as capable as Ryan. He gets the shot but we need to find a long term solution once again. He's still young enough but I have a feeling he's going the way of a backup after this. Just my opinion.

And what quarterback would you try to lure to Miami? Offer rum and a cigar to Jobu in hopes that we would get an aged franchise quarterback like Brees, Brady, Rodgers or Manning?

Roll the dice on and still offer rum and a cigar to Jobu to try and lure am ok franschise quarterback like Alex Smith or Phillips Rivers?

Or do you REALLY roll the dice and try to get ANY quarterback that's been a starter in the league and STILL be without a franchise quarterback?

Marino ruptured his Achilles tendon and returned to form.
Griese broke his leg, dislocated his ankle and he returned to form.

Tannehill injured his NON THROWING knee. Will he ever be able to scramble for 1st downs like he has in the past? Perhaps not but then again, Adam Gase's offense doesn't involve too many quarterback runs.

Now I am all for drafting another high rated quarterback. Matt Moore is 32, in his 10th year in the league and the odds are he won't be around that much longer. Draft a quarterback to learn behind both Moore and Tannehill so if Tannehill's playing career is indeed shortened by this injury, we'll have a young quarterback to be able to step up and become the heir apparent.

To get rid of Tannehill NOW is just plain ridiculous

Cutting Tannehill after this season would be beyond dumb. You don't cut a still-young quarterback who has turned a corner under this coaching staff. If he was 35, then maybe I'd understand it, but 29? Nope. 29 year old quarterbacks who have shown the ability to be a good starting quarterback don't get cut.

See if you can restructure his contract if you must, and drafting a guy somewhat early does make sense for the future, but you don't cut him.
