Bleacher Report saying it was reported by Andy Slater of 940 am in Miami that he suffered a torn ACL and possibly out for the year. Sorry don't know how to post a link from an app. This team just can't catch a break....
Unbelievable, I was so excited for the potential to finally have a young anchor in the middle of our defense. Kwon' was one of my favorite picks in our draft, kid is a real thumper and brings the noise on every play. This is horrible, but I wish him a speedy recovery. It really does seem like this team is snakebit at times.
Yeah, me too. Hoping and praying it's not true, or at least not as badly suspected with this report from Andy Slater. I heard the commentators say that he got up and was off the field under his own power, and thought maybe it was something minor. I didn't see it.
Lets put our new starting MLB on punt coverage for the first pre-season game where everyone is flying around kamikaze style.......brilliant! Kid never got to play a down on D JINXED!
Yeah I know right, a damn special team punt coverage play. It's unbelievable how high we all were just a week ago, now it seems to be unraveling. I know that's a little over reaction but I mean come on.
This absolutely sucks, and I was predicting McMillan to receive Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. But, the silver lining may be that this could provide a window of opportunity for Deon Lacey to emerge. He played well tonight, and I look forward to seeing him again. Here's to hoping Lacey follows in Cam Wake's footsteps as a former CFL player turned NFL superstar.
Not a good start to this season. We caught a HUGE break in getting Cutler, but now the defense takes another hit. Was it only a month ago we had a bit of LB depth? Then Misi is gone, and now the promising rookie? Okay, maybe we can get a decent starter either from one of the depth guys stepping up OR we grab a surprise LB cut in a few weeks?
this is why you go after guys for depth. Miami is a team that is ALWAYS injured. Mangold, Harris, Revis. These are positions we always need. But the board was up in arms with age
This isn't uncommon to put guys, even higher draft picks, on STs. All teams do this. Some guys simply have to cut their teeth on STs. In saying that.......f********!!!!
**** happens Don't know how good he'll end up but that guy Allen made me notice last night. Looking forward to seeing more of him....
why are you shocked? You should be more shocked if he wasn't playing on special teams. Rookie linebackers generally play on special teams even when they are on starters. Starters play special teams all the time. There are not enough players on the team to not put starters on special teams.
Guys, rookies often play special teams. Rizzi said last week Raekwon was one of the best special teamers they had. It's just an unfortunate event. Not everything needs a scapegoat.
This really ****ing sucks. Not much more I can say other than that. I just hope he's ready to go next year, and suffers no setbacks.
This really sucks, we've actually been pretty lucky with not losing high drafted rookies, you see it happen somewhere every year, but it's been a while since it's happened to us. I was really looking forward to watching him, I really liked this draft for the most part, and I liked Kwon, but next year he will be like an extra 1st or 2nd round pick in a way, he'll have that "bonus" feeling.
As soon as I read about the injury, I thought "please don't let this turn into a Dion Jordan 2.0". Jordan got hurt early, smoked a little weed in rehab, then boom...his career is over.
He played in 16 games as a rookie, I know he nicked up his shoulder, but I was talking about losing a high rookie for the year, we lost Odrick in game 1, but he did get on the field, that WR from the JJ days is the last time I remember a high profile rookie being lost for the season before the season started.
