We seem thin at OL and LB... maybe a little bit of bubble-wrap with Ajayi and Drake's concussions at RB. But WR is jammed. We don't seem short on bodies there. Unless my math is way off. Are we about to execute a WR trade or something?
Ah, okay. I'm not keeping up to date. Man, I don't remember a camp with this many injuries before. Do you?
I misread your post and thought you asked, "Are we about to execute a WR or something?" I suppose we would need another guy brought in to replace the one we executed, although it would be hard to find willing WRs.
Not big injuries. I do not remember the starting QB and one of the top picks going out at the same time. I do remember some camps with decent amount of small injuries.
BTW, that other time we made the playoffs since Shula and Marino left, we brought in a MLB star's son, Shawn Murphy. But that time it cost a 4th rounder in the draft. He didn't do anything, like many of our draftees in those days.
Fins also sign: Sean Hickey - G - "Hickey (6'5/309) made 38 career starts for the Orange, succeeding Justin Pugh as Syracuse's left tackle. He was a third-team All-ACC selection by the conference's coaches as a senior. Hickey ran 5.10/5.20 at the Orange Pro Day, adding a 27-inch vertical and pumping 38 reps on the bench. Hickey has short arms (32 3/4"), but big hands (10 1/2") and excels as a run blocker. He'll have to kick inside to guard for NFL teams to mask his pass-protection flaws." (rotoworld)
