I swear, this might be the worst training camp we've ever had. Hope is just slipping away.

CB Tony Lippett now done for the season after tearing is Achilles Tendon in practice yesterday, according to Adam gase.

Reported by Bleacher Report per Adam Beasley.

Ugh, that sucks. What a terrible camp this has been for injuries. For us, and many other teams too.

I think we can survive this one though. We're pretty deep at CB. Maybe not with superstars, but we've got what I think are some good, competent players there. Tankersly you have to hope can step up, sure he's a rook, but I like the addition of Verner if he's still got something left in the tank.

our season is looking more and more like .500 were losing starters all over the place but ours are are our thinnest positions.

How do you figure CB is our thinnest position? I get the sky is always cloudy in your world, but we've still got Maxwell, Xavien Howard, McCain, Verner, and Tankersly is going to be pushed into a bigger role as a rookie now. Sure, losing Lippet hurts, he's been a pleasant surprise making the switch to CB, but it's not like were being forced to replace him with a scrub free agent from his couch.

It sucks because he's done nothing but develop his game since he got the call here, and was turning into a bright spot of depth on an undrafted rookie contract.

Lippett was a 5th rounder, not playing on a UDFA contract.

Also, Lafayette Pitts has been looking pretty good. Torry McTyer had a good first game against Atlanta. He forced that fumble on a kickoff late in the game, besides showing some cover skills. His old man was a great college corner, and spent 3-4 years in the NFL. So he has some pedigree.

You're right, MrClean, good catch! My point is that he was good depth on a cheap contract.

We should totally only draft players who are invulnerable......

We should make all players sign a contract promising to never get hurt. If they do break that promise, then take them to the nearest guillotine.

Yeah, maybe we can drop them from the top of the stadium as part of the initial combine workout. If they go splat then they likely won't be good football players.

That's a huge hit for us sigh they keep coming. Lippett looked like an above average cover corner in his first season starting with us.

Don't know how many more years Maxwell has left. Lets hope Xavien is who we think he is and he stays healthy.

Maybe its new PSG, but I don't see why this is a sky is falling injury. Yes, it hurts, Lippett has been very good. But we have decent depth ay CB. I think we are alright.
