From: http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/barry-jackson/article173268761.html Sorry but this answer does not inspire a lot of confidence. Asked what makes him confident the Dolphins’ offense will hit the ground running, so to speak, Cutler was candid: “We might not,” Cutler said. “I mean we don’t know how it’s going to go. We’re going to practice as hard as we can. We’re going to prepare as much as we can; but like any game, like any NFL season, there’s going to be some ups and downs out there and these guys are … It’s a resilient group, so we’ll just battle through them.”
Also, Jay has never held his disdain for reporters back. Let's face it sports reporters swim in the shallow end of the gene pool compared to other reporters. To get to where he is it is non sensical to believe Jay is anything other than a dedicated professional. Just because he thinks reporters who ask idiotic questions should be treated like idiots doesn't mean he is lackadaisical.
No QB is going to come out and make Rex Ryan type boasts. And Cutler, especially at the sunset of his career isn't going to make any claims about this team being great. He knows all too well how quickly things can go sideways from his time in Denver and in Chicago. A mature, humble Cutler could a very good thing.
Same here. Can't remember if I've mentioned this on here yet or not but long before Cutler became a Miami Dolphin my brother-in-law and I had a long discussion about how Cutler might be one of the most interesting players in the NFL, and I think definitely the most interesting QB. I won't pretend to know if Cutler is going to work as QB of the Miami Dolphins but I think it's going to be a wild ride watching him at QB this year and it's going to be INTERESTING no doubt about it.
Well hes rght, dude got signed in the middle of training camp, is still new to the team... cant expect the team to be firing from all cylinders offensively
