Lawrence Timmons’ status unclear after leaving Dolphins without notice Posted by Michael David Smith on September 17, 2017, 11:59 AM EDT AP Something strange is going on with Lawrence Timmons, just hours before he was supposed to play in his first game as a Miami Dolphin. Timmons disappeared from the team yesterday, according to multiple reports. Although the Dolphins do now know where Timmons is, it’s unclear whether he will play today against the Chargers. The Dolphins had been in California all week after Hurricane Irma forced them out of Miami. Timmons made the trip with the team and there were no indications of anything being wrong until yesterday. The Dolphins play the Chargers at 4:05 p.m. Eastern and we may not know until 90 minutes before kickoff whether Timmons is active. Timmons signed a two-year, $12 million contract with the Dolphins this year after playing the last 10 years with the Steelers. He went through training camp and the preseason without any incidents, and he was expected to be the team’s starting strong side linebacker. "FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reported that the team had been trying to find Timmons and get more information after he was angered by something and left the team."
First thought on this, reminds me a little of Gase leaving Ajayi at home due to a bad attitude. Can only hope this works out like that.
This team is NOT cursed!! LOL!! Potential game-winning FG by Chargers missed! MOTM: Younghoe Koo! Dolphins 1-0
Have no idea what happened and I'll reserve complete judgement until I have all of the facts but I will say this...this is the risk you take when you sign a veteran with as many years in the league as Timmons. We had the same thing happen last year when we signed Arian Foster. If Timmons is indeed a bust for the Dolphins, I surely hope Chase Allen will take advantage of the once in a lifetime opportunity that's been bestowed upon him.
Allen has played well so far in preseason. I didn't really notice him during the game but I only saw part of it, from about 3 minutes before halftime onward.
We need him back. Gase had an issue w Ajayi and look what happened Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hopefully he can come back, but didnt Ajayi just get called out for not hustling or something and didnt go completely missing? this is weird as hell.
To hell with Timmons. If it was a legit emergency, he wouldve told Gase. Timmons is a prima donna little beeeatch. Hes a loser. he doesnt deserve to be on this team.
maybe not, and even he isnt that great, but as a fan he needs to be playing every game cause our lb's are horrific and slow as hell.
As of right now, none of us knows what really happened so can the negative nancys please pump your breaks. I do know this though, we MUST invest in LBs early(in the draft) next year and beyond. It is sickening to see all of these young fast backers on every other team.
It's really too bad we lost Raekwon. I hope picking him was the right move because Zach Cunningham played really well against the Bengals and we could've taken him.
Tell me about it. The F.O. better start putting a premium on the position b/c imo you can only go but so far relying on Special Teams LBs playing downs.

It got to the point where I just hope he's OK. Of course we want the competitor out there. He left it out there all week in practice. He had a good week of practice. When this happened, I just hope he's OK. You want him to play. He's a leader. He's a hell of player.”"
Guys play thru deaths in the family, births, weddings all kinds of stuff. Their choice. In my world family comes before anything, when my wife was due with our second my boss told me if I didn't show up for work or left when she called I'd be fired. Just a retail mgmnt gig. I handed her my keys right there. But if it wasn't a life time family kinda thing...
It's even better than that. Gordon rushed for only 13 yards on 9 carries lol. We held the Chargers to a total of 44 yards rushing which is outstanding given how bad our run defense was last year.
It truly saddens me to see so many people so eager to go negative so fast. If you're that chicken little that we're cursed before even the first game's outcome, you need to move on and go watch the WNBA or something. We don't need fans like that. There should be some speck of understanding in this new bright season. If you're a haggard pessimist that's been steeped in our non brilliant seasons of the past I get it but let's if not be positive at least not do the sky is falling routine.
I want the Phins to win. Sick of the losing. But people need to either give each and every season a chance or need to go the f away. So tired of the battle worn negative massclowns that are eager to declare every season a failure after the first hangnail but declare themselves the biggest and greatest fans we have. We won a game we would typically have lost. Winning teams get lucky breaks in the bad games and win the good games. Be grateful for the fortunate outcome and let's move on to kicking the Jets' ***.
If it's a personal problem and he didn't just quit because of "stuff" then I'm fine with it. But come back next week. Playing with 4 LBs can't happen again this season.
