Although I expect a win, I am worried about what the NYJ's run game can do and expose us for the rest of the season......unless we have essentially fixed that issue a little. This is the game I would like for us to tweak the pass rush. Maybe take some chances man to man. Great news for us, is Buffalo and Oakland ran for over 180 each on the NYJ. So it should be more of the same on offense for us, but I expect to be little more vertical.

I am also worried about distractions. Between Timmons and the fact they have to pack for the London trip and not come home. Prediction MIA 34 NYJ 16. If you told me we were going to be 2-0 going to London against a Saints team that is essentially one dimensional, with a defense that's really bad, with the realistic chance of being 3-0, I would have taken that bet.

I know it's a division game and anything can happen but if the Dolphins lose to this Jets team they have no business doing anything this year.

    Classic trap game.

But I have more confidence in the mentality Gase is building than previously.

For Failbin and Suckprano, yes trap games. How about we not make it a trap game and let our overwhelming talent take over?

I'm not worried about the Jets. If you're worried about them then there is no reason to expect playoffs, which I do.

I expect a competitive first half but we will win in the end.

Jets have the 30th ranked defense and offense after the first two games. They're dead last in points against. They've played the Bills and Raiders.

They've committed two turnovers in each game, while forcing one in the first.

They're passing defense isn't abysmal, they're ranked 18th after two games. However, even with Wilkerson and Williams, they're dead last in rushing defense (uh-oh), allowing nearly 200 yards in each contest.

(Just an aside, how awesome is Oakland's rushers? You have Lynch who needs no intro, and Jalen Richard, who is seriously fast, decisive and shifty.)

I don't think their linebackers are getting it done, now that Harris is gone. Watch Demario Davis get washed out of that long Cordarelle Patterson TD run. Then again, Oakland has a nice offensive line. I think our OL can do some damage on the second level, but I'm not counting on Williams and Wilkerson to have bad game after bad game after bad game.

They key, I think, will be to capitalize on their second level. Get Ajayi on screens and draws to the second level, and then open up the intermediate passing game. Put the pressure on their linebackers, who are either young or not that great.

Defense just has to make McCown sweat, and they need to take care of their assignments better this game. Carrying over the rush defense against an attack that features Matt Forte would help too. However, their OL seems penetrable. I'm going to Philly over the weekend, but I hope I'm still able to watch the game.

a little deceiving. 38 first game and 126 2nd game. Forte out the backfield will be a drive extender. Gotta have an answer for that

im not worried in the least that this team will take the game lightly, did y'all see our team scrap and fight and not quit,?, did you not see how calculated the conservative gameplay was in the first half because your literally playing your first game of the season against a team that has already played and made adjustments?, did you not see the same team that won 9 out of 10 games last year?...I sure as hell did..

It was a great win..defensively we shut their run game down and kept everything in front of us...

I hope your wrong, this should be easily a 10 point win, even if they get 100 yard rushing, the chargers were supposed to rise and fight for the west with the chiefs and raiders and we played very well for a first game with all the hurricane stuff to deal with. I think if that game is played this week we could have won by 7 or more, I see cutler letting loose and us being up by 14 at half and the jets scoring a late garbage td for a 24-14 win.

stej starting QB, Josh McCown is 2-22 in his last 24 starts in Tampa, Cleveland, and now NJ.

This is gold: McCown won the job by doing nothing, a Daoist quarterback version of the Peter principle. It almost doesn’t matter who starts for the Jets, because between the offensive line and the receiving corps, this is the worst situation in football for a quarterback. No, really.

    https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2017/8/28/16217992/josh-mccown-wins-jets-starting-quarterback-job

And we'll always have this fond memory.

If the Patriots were playing this Jets team would they lose ? If the Packers were playing the Jets today would they lose ? If the Falcons, Chiefs, Bronco's, or Steelers were playing them today would they lose.? No, they wouldnt. If this Dolphins team is to be truly competitive and taken seriously they dont lose to this inept Jets team today. I get the whole division rival thing and history says expect anything, but I just dont see them hanging with us for too long today.

I don't think you can be trapped when you're on the road for a month with zero distractions in the room. Players aren't seeing their friends, their family, heir kids, neighbors, etc. thanks to Hurricane Irma. They pulled together even tighter due to Timmons. No team is facing the adversity that the Dolphins are right now and no team is closer as a single unit.

Meanwhile, the Jets are in full rebuild mode. They can't stop the run. We have the league's best RB. They can't stop the pass. We have the league's most dangerous receiving corp. We also have an elite QB in full rebound mode, a bunch of pissed off linebackers who are tired of being called a weakness, and a secondary that has a whole lot to prove after being lit up by Rivers last week.

Then there's the Jets with practically their entire starting line hurt or on IR. Their big pass rusher are also out, which s why they haven't been able to block anyone or create a lick of pressure this season. Sadly, their secondary is even in worse shape. But we're supposed to be worried? Oh heck no.

Folks, today will be a slugfest and the Jets aren't going to be throwing any punches. Ajayi will stomp his way to 200+ and set all the momentum we need for our home game in London. This one won't be even close.

Not sure I've ever seen Vegas be so wrong as with this Ravens vs. Jaguars game. Ravens were favored by 3.5 points, and right now the score is 44-0 for the Jaguars (still 10 min left)!! That's the biggest point differential (by far) in a loss in Flacco's career and actually in all of Ravens history looks like. Flacco just got replaced by Mallet after posting a 12 passer rating LOL!

Well.. despite this in-your-face demonstration of why you don't crown paper champs, I still think we're winning by 7+ against the Jets. LOL at Ravens haha.

that was the easiest money so far this year..I knew the ravens would get blown up...they have lost so many players to IR this year, then lost their best olineman and their best run stuffing D lineman during the week...then making a trip to London...such an easy pic Imo.

The fact that the ravens were just favored 3.5 points against the jags is the biggest red flag out there..

Got punched in the nads by Ealy.

Jay is off. 2 bad passes. Bailed out by the refs on the first one.

Defense was on fire that first series.
