Its not about the player, its about the cap space and hoping Kanter opts out or can be flipped. Everyone knows Andersons contract cant be moved without including additional 1st round picks. Its still a crap deal but id rather have Kanters contract and McDermott then crappy Ryan Anderson

    LOL, we appreciate it.

However, I knew we wouldn't get back anything worth while for Melo....so I'm not too upset as much as I am happy the drama is over.

Houston has to be kicking themselves over that sign and trade. I truly have no idea what they were thinking considering Paul had already decided on leaving.

Can I just say that Sam Presti is the best at fixing his mistakes? He probably should have let Kanter walk on that huge contract offer from Portland, and that trade with Orlando was ridiculous when trying to retain KD. But damn if he doesn't know how to flip his acquired garbage into gems.

Nah. The trade opened up $8 mil in cap space to sign NeNe, PJ Tucker, and Moute. Also allowed Rockets to have flexibilty if Harden/Paul doesn't work as expected. If it doesn't work, Ariza, CP3, and Moute will be off the books....go after another all-star.

And congrats on keeping crappy Anderson and being the 4th best team in the west after SAS OKC and GSW. Enjoy that 2nd round elimination

Meh, soon to be 11 straight years in the playoffs in the wild west. I always enjoy every Rockets' season.

Potential is just that until its realized. They could be but lets see if Dunn and Tyus Jones are as good as Rubio. Imo they have a significant amount of potential as a team but letting Rubio go via trade was a big mistake. Dunn is not a player im a fan of and Rubio nearly averaged a triple double post All star break.

They got Jeff Teague too, who's pretty solid. That team will be an interesting one to watch.

Gotta suck for Knicks fans that they couldn't get a 1st round pick. Yeesh.

OKC is gonna be pretty damn good. They won't beat GSW, but Melo at the 4 should be awesome on offense.

Bulls and Dwyane Wade have reached a buyout. Cavs, Spurs and Heat are the favorites to land him according to Woj. Cleveland the front runner.

It would be great to get Wade back, but I'm betting he ends up on the Cavs. A fun alternative would be OKC.

Wade said that he's going to make a decision in a day or so.

He already knows the teams. It's between us and Cleveland. Legacy/family or one more shot at a championship. That's the choice

    Porzingis...yes
THJr....eh if you want to put your big off season acquisition on there i get it. I dont agree, but I understand.
Beasley...someone needs to put a joint in his mouth on that add. Hes usually more concerned with that anyway.

Wade isnt putting the Cavs over the top at this point, us either, so in the end I don't care where he goes.

There are 3-4 teams in the West that can beat them already.

Is this being reported somewhere? I haven't read the latest this morning. Last night it seemed like there were a bunch of players and teams making a push. I could see OKC and Houston making a case.

LOL. I don't understand why the Cavs didn't back out of that deal. They had all the negotiating power and took another L. Gilbert is such a clown.

Evidently Cleveland's not a front runner, according to Bovada. They believe it's more Miami and Oklahoma City.

EDIT: Never mind. They jumped to the lead. I had seen them at +600 but they're now +130 and the Heat/Thunder are now both +200.

That's good news. Those would be my two preferred destinations. I'll absolutely root for him to win a ring in OKC, unless Miami somehow makes it to the finals.

Yeah I was outdated on that one. My bad. They're now the front runner at +130. Heat and Thunder are +200.

Has to be pretty tempting for Wade to play with Paul George, Russell Westbrook, and Carmelo Anthony.

Wade doesn't put them over the top, but LeBron might.

I can say this for sure. Cleveland has a better chance of making it out of the East than GS does the West.

Reynolds seems to think there are other suitors as well:

Why would he forego millions of dollars? NBA contracts are prorated so he'd only get paid for the games he's on the team.

I'm personally very okay with Wade playing elsewhere. I'm not one of those salty guys. I just think we're a better team without having to shoehorn him into the offense. If he comes to Miami, I feel like we may try to make him happy to the detriment of the team. Unless it's a given that he's playing second team minutes. He worked very well with Whiteside, but you pretty much can't play him and Dragic together for big minutes.

Bovada took the line down altogether so they have reason to believe a decision is made.

Woj is reporting he can finalize a deal with the Cavs by Wednesday.
