There were 4 years of world peace, where no "official war" was fought in the 20th century. This kind of bull has always existed for as long as stupid people are making decisions. Its kind of pathetic we can build weapons that destroy each other but we cant be smart enough to not use them. Why worry now? Its clear the planet is run by complete idiots. Has been for centuries. Personally, I think we should have a common sense test, 20 questions long. If you dont get at least a 80 you get tossed in a nuclear wasteland. Anyone dumb enough to use a nuclear weapon or kill another man without imminent personal threat should get tossed in a heap of steamed excrement.
am i worried about the world? no. there's always been conflict since the beginning of time. the only thing you can do is hope that our elected leaders chose the correct (i.e. most diplomatic path) that hopefully disrupts your own life the least. that's all you can really do.
Has been since the dawn of man. If we did what you suggest (which I like, by the way), there would be so few of us left that we would probably have to go back to a subsistence farming style of life.
I can live with that. Everyone would be more humble and down to earth by nature. I can live without some of the modern amenities if I had to...
screw that! i love air conditioning & my xbox! EDIT: side note - being "humble" and "down to earth" has no bearing on technology, IMO. it's how you are raised and your personal morals.
