Amen! The beginning stages of the NFL season can be wacky, you have to wait for the whole picture. I remember a Kyle Orton-led Broncos team going 4-0 to start a season. I'm pretty sure they missed the playoffs that year.
Most of US already know the total waste of time we'd face with Moore and seeing him as an answer speaks for itself even though he did beat the Jets in the past on a worse team...... something I'm sure would could count on week end and week out, gee why is he the backup ? Well I've rarely seen a dolphins OL look that pathetic for a whole game...and I've seen my share... Christ give the guy a few games before you judge by your supernatural ability to see a disinterested face.... Maybe he was showing his disinterest in the game plan or lack of any OL play....Hey OL had their game faces on they just played like sh** ! Your interest in Moore is truthfully showing me a face of disinterest in a team....its also is embarrassing, would like a little more substance brought to the table and maybe a little more than one game to know it all.....
oh im not discounting that at all im merely saying its a lot easier to take a sh**y game when its against someone with playoff potential rather than a team who was picked to finish dead last under the browns. I think there was too much outlook on the anthem protest and less about football, 13-15 underdogs covered the spread and 6 of them won outright, it was def a bad week for a lot of people except Vegas lol
check this out cash.. combined yards for Marshawn Lynch...Amari Cooper..Mike crabtree... three very good to great players.. 29 total yards of offense.. 13 yards for Crabtree and Cooper...16 yards for Beastmode.. shameful on them but we know their all very good to great players.
First off Id like to congratulate you on coming off as a grade A *******. For future reference keep your snarky *** attitude to yourself. Talk to me that way in real life and Id lay you out so y do it here? Second off its not the first time Cutler has been that way. Its the way hes he's been at least since Chicago. Third off ill accept your apology later when you realize Cutler is a waste of space. He may have a few good games but he's not any sort of answer.
They (Dolphins' WR's) sure as hell didn't play like good-great players yesterday. Pathetic is the best way I can describe our WR play yesterday @djphinfan . They were supposed to be the strength of our team and they were exposed as a liability against one of the least talented teams in the NFL, the freggin' JESTS:
Jay looked really off yesterday not just in his mechanics but also in his decision making. He was playing like he was in a fog. Diabetics don't deal with heat and dehydration as well as a typical person and I wonder if that may have been a factor yesterday.
OOOOoooooooooo Internets a ***** isn't it. Got to use you brain instead of violence and with that difficulty I can understand your defensiveness.... Talk to you how? I could and would apologize if I saw anything personal but don't see it... And as far as not liking attitudes look in the mirror ..... Think your post epitomizes that which you yourself even hate.... Why so insecure, you know the forum is for views and sometimes my friend they are different views....be nice for you to understand that without blowing your own mind for its very unattractive.....and makes it even harder to take what you say seriously.....You want to debate issue fine otherwise don't waste my time.......
First of all like to say I don't think Cutler is the future but considering what we had to work with see him as a legitimate shot. Cutler had a terrible game but tell me who on the team that actually matters didn't. Blaming him is legit but you must also put the OL and DB's and even coaching staff in the equation too. Hey Cutler is signed here and we have little to no choice at this stage to not let this play out....at least for more than 2 games.....
I agree with what you said. But something was off with Cutler yesterday and I'm just wondering aloud if the heat played a part in it.
We keep hearing "Cutler's going to need time to get in synch with his receivers!" Great. How many games is that exactly? 6? 8? It's not like this is a team that can carry itself in other ways while that unfolds so what we would effectively be doing is renting a guy for $10 million because the team is too chickensh*t to trot Moore out there for a full season. By the time this supposed "synching" happens we're already out of a playoff hunt. We lose the carry over cap money in the process, which would be more effective going towards Landry (if you're a believer in re-signing him). What's the end game here? Yes, the whole team played poorly - but where's the leadership in a game like this where you're getting your face kicked in by one of the league's most poorly assembled rosters? Should be coming from Gase and Cutler ...... but we know we're never going to get it from the latter. This really isn't "his" team. He came in late after his wife coaxed him to accept Gase's offer. He's not in Miami to prove skeptics wrong or to fire up a flat team at half time getting its azz kicked by a division rival. I don't even want to think about London right now. The Cutty INT meltdown is coming ....
If it was the heat boy we have even more problems than expected. I just think that Cutler is not a savior and probably plays better when theres not 5 to 7 defensemen in his face. Or can hand the ball off to AJ without almost handing it to a defensemen. All this blame on Cutler and barely a word about the non existent OL ....They were just as responsible for Sundays melt down as Cutler... Even Pouncy played like doo doo...
I'm not following you. It was very hot yesterday in NY (my car read 93 degrees). That's as hot as he is likely to see this year including playing at home. Heat effects diabetics more than a typical person but Jay and his prior training staffs have been successful in the past in managing it (once he was diagnosed). Miami's staff is new to dealing with the condition and that type of heat wasn't expected. So its not unreasonable to think that they may not have been fully prepared to deal with it. If that's the case then correcting the issue should be fairly straight forward and hopefully we will see better play from him in the future. I'm not absolving the other players on the team from responsibility but this is a thread on Cutler.
Yes they have team physicians, but with diabetes it's the kind of thing Cutler can monitor on his own. He was diagnosed in 2008 so he already has his routine for managing it.
ya so he goes 12 games then finally gets it together then what? I've seen very poor performances and now we sit at .500 granted its 2 games but with no bye week and a hectic schedule its just infuriating. I think your 100% correct he's not out to prove everyone wrong about him that's why he's taking no chances, he doesn't want the 5 int games so 36 yards going into the 4th is better in his eyes I guess. and this so called QB whisperer needs to start whispering, hell start yelling because obviously he was a fraud (cutler) from jump street like I thought with the anthem protest and crappy play its hard to watch the nfl right now die hard fan or not lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you could tell there was no fire and no leadership from the 2 main focus positions HC and qb and somehow its acceptable to dolfans because its game 2.
I don't care what game of the season it is - the reality is that it was a divisional match. These games matter more than the others. The offense is NOT supposed to be the problem right now, so that kind of bed sh*tting is completely unacceptable. Don't go sign Smokin' Jay and than tell me "be patient". Theoretically you signed him because it wouldn't be so "waiting" intensive.
your 100% correct, exactly my point like I said when we signed him, Moore had the edge already because the locker room already was behind him they believe in him to get the job done, and now after yesterday I would assume, me being a former athlete myself I would be skeptical of 2 things. 1. jay cutler, being jay cutler, which he was yesterday 2. gase's motive for signing jay, was it a sympathy signing because they like each other and are friends or did he sign him thinking he was the right man for the job and he was that much better than Moore?
Oh the difference Preseason makes compared to regular season. Of course JC isn't as good as RT, why the heck do you think JC was headed to the booth, this is who JC is, we've only seen this for the last 6 years or so....
Many of us said Moore should be the starter. Dolphins possibly wasted a ton of money getting Cutler. I kinda like Cutler, but he is on a super short lease
When was the last time you were in Miami? It's hot as **** down here all year. If you can't play in 93 degree heat then you can't play for Miami.
He was not that much better then Moore. Not 10 million worth. If everyone knew Cutler was not the answer, then you ride with Moore.
yes exactly I wonder how or what was thought to bring him in, I guess that 1 yr. just crazy, the one main reason I like matt moore is his gamer mentality that dude is fired up all the time, even on the sidelines when people make big plays he's always jumping and meeting people with high fives and jump bumps, I don't think theres another backup who has as much fire as he does not playing lol, I would rather have lived with some int's and trying then having that sh!t show yesterday of 38 yards at the end of 3 or whatever it was lol
And still a 1st ballot Hall-of-Famer. That just shows how diluted the NFL talent is and has been for a very long time. It's worse now. Losing top level talent to the NBA at a very high rate, and to some degree MLB.
Below average??? Is that an actual quote? Because that's misleading to say the least. We are 30th in the league right now scoring only 12.5 points per game! And that 12.5 ppg is after playing the Chargers and Jets! Our defense is much better at least (even if it looks bad sometimes): 6th in the league at 18.5 points allowed per game.
I thought the Jets were going to be the worse team in the League, but that might be the Chargers award now, either way, we looked terrible playing what might be the 2 worse teams in the League, if it wasn't for a terrible kicker, we would hold that position right now...
