That's not going to work here. I don't expect him to be here. He'll be in Dallas when its all set and done imo.
Thanks Freestyle. Interesting. Does he have anything left? I see the logic in adding a vet at the Wr position. As long as we aren't cutting someone like Bess to make room then I wouldn't really mind. I would prefer Terry Glenn if healthy though
Any released veteran WR is going to see Miami as a possible destination considering how poorly our WRs currently look. No big surprise here.
Very true, until they finally realize Ginn is a good reciever, just anyone not a miami fan realizes it yet.
I don't believe he has much left. He got cut by Atlanta who has one of their starting receivers down right now in Laurent Robinson and a non-impressive receiver in Michael Jenkins.
Yeh he did. Him and White, I beleive? Which IMO is why Horn is expendable, plus its mutual, he wanted out of ATL as well.
I'll take anything we can get at WR. We've already brought in Penny at QB to be a leader in the huddle, I dont see how bringing in Horn hurts us. The more veteran leadership the better IMO.
He had a couple good games the last six or so weeks but nothing spectacular imo. He got beat out by Laurent Robinson for the number two job. He was then promoted up to the number two job when Robinson went down with an injury last week.
Probabally wants to come down and play Shuffleboard and Bingo with the rest of the seniors in S. Florida. No thanks.
What about Roddy White? He's a very good receiver and was one of the top receivers last year. He put up 1200 yards last year. Many don't look at him as one of the better receivers since he has had only one good year. However, despite all those other big names in this league, Roddy White is second best receiver against elite Cornerbacks production wise, only behind Reggie Wayne.
No, No, No, No and No. I would rather stay with what we currently have. If he was disgruntled in one place that was not a contender, what will happen here. I dont care how much he wanted out of Atlanta, he was still a part of the team and had a responsibility to study his playbook and conduct his workouts. Do we really expect him to mentor our young receivers when he could have stayed at Atlanta and done the same thing there.
With Glenn gone, they need another guy to be the slot. They don't believe developing, young guys Sam Hurd, Miles Austin and Isiah Stanback are ready just yet from what I hear.
From what I've heard, they are high on Austin, but you never know with that riverboat gambler (J Jones).
Lets hope because I dont want him here. Why would he want to come to Miami any way we are in the same place the Falcons are.
Yeah, Austin is a good returner right now but is still developing as a receiver. I think Hurd is the best of the three young guys. He's being taken under the wing by Owens. I think Jones wants to add another veteran receiver though. I recall him inquiring about Horn earlier this off-season but then I don't know what happened after that. Also, good call on Seattle earlier, they could be a possibility with all the guys they have down right now.
He played really well. Pretty much made my fantasy football team respectable. Stupid Philip Rivers sucking butt!
I didn't say he should retire. I don't think he should if he still believes he can play because there will be a team that will pick him up that needs a veteran or is in a need of a receiver. He's not that good of a receiver anymore imo.
Well, probably 30 teams outside of Hotlanta and NO... At any rate, I have the same feelings about him as I do Glenn..not a bad addition (other than the issue that Horn has been a thorn to mgmt wherever he's been) but a) is his 36 yr old body what we really need now b) do we add him and leave one of our youngsters out in the cold or chance clearing waivers come the end of the month ?? c) do we want to take the snaps and time away from those younger guys ?? It's not like we're a WR away from the promised land... I just don't think it's worth losing out on developing one of our younger guys...
No, really all 31 teams including NO. He's desparate. Check it out: http://www.miamiherald.com/news/breaking-news/story/648761.html
This will end up like The Rice saga. He might get invited to try out for a team but prob. wont make it on the final roster. I hate seeing players that had solid careers go out this way. But when its all you know...
Joe Horn realeased. Dolphins? http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/20...preview/2008/08/19/horn.falcons.ap/index.html This would come up sooner or later. Just passing this on...)) Crap. Please merge this, didn't realize there was a thread.
