so what's the solution?

everyone here states the obvious about the inept offense, and continuously argue that they "should be scoring more based on talent." But that hasn't happened and Cutler is not being benched. So I ask the experts here, what is the answer?

If blocking and timing and playing faster (per Gase on the 3rd one) needs to happen, do we keep two-three TE's in? How about a 3-4 step drop? Lining up Drake or Grant on the inside with LB's? Why aren't RB's catching more? Last week Bell had 10 catches on 10 targets. McCaffrey on Thursday night had 10 on 14 targets. Is part of the issue not having a proper dual-threat back? To hurt feelings here, yes. Miami is not disguising what they want to do, they are making it obvious. So when we talk about lack of creativity, is it lack of personnel? I think so to an extent. Meaning they need to mix and match more vs going with the same over and over. Maybe Miami cannot change things up until the foundation of the offense, the players, changes. That would suck very much, but it is getting to be more realistic as every game gets closer to the end of the season. Everyone keeps waiting for the spark. But is anyone ready for the spark to never turn on?

I still think we have the personnel and creativity, it's the right combo that has to be figured. Sometimes you just have to do things for a few plays or series to get things going and then you can mix it up, for example, having to use a 2-3 TE set or quick drop. I think Parker out is a semi-blessing. I think it will force us to throw quicker and maybe just maybe get it in better down and distances. Maybe the team's composition is not ready for a deep threat because of lack of talent on the line. However, there still could be deep opportunities available. Have to pick and choose.

My solution is to keep my sense of humor. A little technique I developed in 2007 and it got me through that. And since we already have twice as many wins as that year, I think it will be a more than adequate solution if I need to dig it out anytime soon.

    U.K.
Not sure what the solution is other than wholesale changes to the Offense and that includes OC. I haven’t watched hardly any other Football this season as when my fins suck I lose interest, but caught the highlights of the Thursday night game yesterday. Man, both offencess seemed so much better and more competent than ours. I don’t need to tell you how vanilla and predictable our offence looks in comparison with our screens, short passing game and outside zone run scheme that every opposing DC has got wise too.

I’m starting to resent that I/we are getting an infinitely pooorer product, and have done for years I might add.

What’s the answer then...? I would suggest that any rehire of Gase is conditional on him giving up OC and we seek and hire the best OC out there. We then draft Offence heavy and we start the rookies, it will be a new scheme so why not? Having Tannehill back will be fantastic, and boy has he been missed, but we draft another qb as a developmental successor of his.
I think our defence is getting it done with a nice mix of youth and experience, the HO have taken care of that side of the team recently, now we need to do the same with the O, and I really do think this means we rip it up and start again, sadly.

There's no secret here- last year when other teams stacked the box, RT would check into a play-action pass play with Stills running for the goal post. And after we collected our easy 7 points, teams didn't stack the box anymore. This definitely is not a player issue as much it is an execution issue.

The solution is for gase to stop calling the plays. He is terrible at it. Let christensen call the plays up in the booth and let cutlee audible at the line.

I am tired of seeing run it against 7 and 8 man fronts banging our head against the wall and throwing the idiotic screen over and over again.

Gase lools like he doesnt know wtf he is doing.
