Cutler is now officially scratched for tonight's ballgame and Miami is already saying he will start against the Raiders next week. So it sounds like there isn't a QB controversy in Gase's mind at all....which has to get Moore fired up for tonight.

In other words, this game is Matt Moore's Super Bowl, his only chance for true redemption. It sounds like Parker is playing tonight and he's likely our 3rd best receiver at this point- I think we're about to put up some very big numbers as Matt Moore is slighted once again.

It's truly sad how married Gase is to Cutler.

If we win by more than 7 and Moore doesn't start next week I will be upset.

I'm more concerned that Cutler will get rushed back to play and get hurt again. Moore should be playing tonight and the Raiders game at a minimum. We lose nothing with Moore in there playing -and some would argue the offense is actually better. I think it is 1A and 1B.

Is Gase playing mind games to motivate Moore? Doubtful, as the guy is always excited to be able to play. It must be that Moore is flat refusing to throw WR bubble screens in practice.... ;)

I'm telling you, I was in a bad car accident in my 20's and had several bruised ribs...I couldn't believe nothing was broken due to the level of pain. I don't think it's a matter of getting re-hurt because every hit is going to be excruciating. I mean, it hurts to breathe, every breath is painful under normal circumstances. I feel sorry for Cutler if he's actually starting 12 days from now.

I think we should give Gase the benefit of the doubt on this. I'm going to assume there is something behind the scenes that we're not privy to.

    Tl;dr I trust Gase.

this is a false narrative, no where in the article does it say cutler will start against the raiders, says he will return against the raiders...could easlily be holding the clipboard for a few weeks as Moores backup..it all depends on Moore performance..if its good and we win, theres no going back to cutler..not gonna vilify gase by thinking he's that dumb.

Too bad. Best case was to have Moore play enough games to get this team close to the playoffs, then have Cutler come back and finish the regular season, protecting Moore from to many head-rattling shots. Not that I would root for an injury to anybody not involved in years of franchise-wide cheating, but then if Cutler got hurt and Moore came in to start the playoffs, we'd have more reason to get excited, unless our depth gets exposed again at key spots.

They'll give him a shot, not that it would be a picnic even with that. But for those of us without access to that pain medication it is very painful.

this isn't complicated, you ride Moore until he plays poorly and still in th hunt, then put in cutler if Moore poops

Based on what? He hand picked Cutler and gave him more money than anyone else would. He was stubborn when the offense was terrible and Jay looked uninterested. We were on our way to being swept by the Jets. Moore came in and did Moore things. You watched I assume. Everyone saw what Moore brings to the team. Maybe Moore just isn't a practice field guy? Maybe Jay kills it in practice but it doesn't translate?

Based on what you've seen and besides his paycheck...why Jay?

Gase wouldn't handcuff Moore to help support this position would he? I hope he let's Matt be himself tonight.

No way, he set him loose when necessary last week and there's no reason to change that. I'm sure we will start conservative with Ajayi off right tackle and see where it takes us, but I'm sure that we'll open up eventually and see Matt be Matt.

Cutler would be getting worked by the Ravens as well, but maybe they would've gotten into Field Goal range haha.

An already bad offense is worse under Moore. Cutler can at least keep them afloat.

Though the offense is terrible right now regardless. And its beginning to drain the defense.
