"The Seahawks have come to an agreement with the Texans to land star left tackle Duane Brown, who will be an instant upgrade for their offensive line, which has had trouble so far this season"

This is what I'm pissed about. Players out there are available and are better than the trash we keep putting out there, but I may be assuming incorrectly but were losing out on getting players who would be an immediate upgrade to our piss poor line.

Yea they trade two draft picks and a player but instead of sitting around and drafting projects and injured players or waiting for free agency and deciding not to offer players money hoping they will want to play in the sunshine over cash and missing out they will try to get some broken / comeback type player.

I want an aggressive front office and coach man. Swing for the fences if you fail I wont ***** because you tried. The way we been playing the game isn't getting us any wins either. Go big or go home.

Just mad that players are available if you TRY and get them. I don't believe and again I may be wrong but they don't seem to even be trying.

Before you get too angry, are you aware that the Fins have approximately 500k in cap room left, that Brown already is one of the highest paid players at his position, and that he was holding out for more money?

I think you need to put the rest of the trade into perspective here. Seattle acquired a LT, and a pretty good player. No doubt, a player we could use. However, this team; Our team. Has a first round pick invested in their current LT. That's reason one we aren't making this deal. Reason two... Seattle also gave up Jeremy Lane, a 5th round pick this year, and a 2nd round pick next year. Reason three... as said already but unlucky13... cap space.

Seattle can afford to do this, because they've been successful, and have a deep roster, and can live without those draft resources. We've been in a funk so long, that we dont have that luxury.

So yeah, in short, your rant sounds good in theory, but at the end of the day, we're not in a position to do what you want them to do, or pull off this trade. No way we can afford to give up a good CB, a 2nd, and a 5th for anyone really. However, that's the failures of the past haunting us still.

Lastly, dont try and sell me on the fact you wouldn't complain if they took big swings and failed. I won't believe that for a second given the past. You're an emotional roller coaster type fan. Nothing wrong with that, but I just can't believe that statement from you... no offense! :hi5:

We're out of money. It takes all of your cap space to land a "talented" squad like the one we have assembled when you don't draft particularly well. Plus, off the top of my head, I believe we have about $40 million tied up in a DT and an average QB that doesn't currently play. We are rolling with what we have and probably will for the next couple of years. Hang on.

No what I’m trying to say is that trades can happen and that quality players are out there. Any general manager worth his status should be looking at ways to improve the team creatively. I understand he’s paid slot but do you think we’re going to have any leverage in free agency to get quality oline help with players knowing it’s a rebuild again? We will have to overpay

We should be looking to trade for a starting guard or two.

The guard position is what is throwing a wrench into and messing up the whole offense. They failed to address it in free agency (Larsen is a backup), they failed to address it in the draft, and they are now failing to address it before the trade deadline.

Hey gase tell me again how we don't need guards to run the offense.

Tannehill's injury not only robbed the team of its starting quarterback, it also robbed them of 10 million dollars in cap room when they signed Cutler to replace him. Had RT not gone down, the team would no only be better on the field, they would have the resources to then also add to the club and improve it. But thats not reality. Unless Tannenbaum wants to try some very creative acccounting and push money into the future, it just is what it is right now, and any trades made are likely to be sending players out instead of bringing them in, unless the new guys make the league minimum.

How is it a rebuild? Our defense has been awesome. We have solid receivers and 1 solid RB (which we're working to death). We started the season last minute with a brand new QB2 and progressed to QB3. Ted Larsen, a projected OL starter will be back next week.

I don't know why people think that you can draft a veteran QB who spent the offseason hunting in the woods and expect him to just walk in and drop 100 points on solid defenses. Or that our backup can come in after two days of practice and do the same thing against our arch-nemesis that always whips us.

If we're going to be realistic, let's be realistic all the way around. We have no cap space so we'd have to let a starter walk to get a solid starter in return. And what position are we desperately in need enough to trade a starter? RB maybe? OL? Those are our only positions of need at this moment unless you want to bring in a QB4. But if you look at pass protections, Cutler has had time to throw. So has Moore. And we're hitting opposing QB's more than ours are getting hit.

Plain and simple, our line is okay. We will grab a few more rookies next season to develop but about 90% of our problems are at QB with WR's that don't know the routes. Our team is pretty darn stacked...the offense just needs some time.

Our defense isn’t awesome IMHO exemplified by the 40 spot tossed against them by one of the worst ranked offenses at the time.

We do have moments of stability but we never seem to control 60 minutes.

As for the comment about our backup that’s wrong Moore has been here for like 6+ years. It’s not like anything here is new to him. He should be ready to step in and play. Seems he’s better without reps as a starter.

    Well away from here
Yes our defense should be faulted for offensive ineptitude and the fact the offense actually gave points to the opposition.

    Makes sense

-14 on 2 Moore pick-6's. And how many short fields due to bad punting and the offenses inability to stay on the field or move the ball?

    Man I hear ya.....

You look in here and see the same lack of insight as the organization has, as far as OL...It's QB or its RB or its the play calling or a lack of player intelligence, now seeing the Defense lol, give me a break. It's like the organization has no clue of just how essential OL play is to a teams success or even being able to have a proper evaluation of ones own players. Hell one of the most significant sayings by the legends of the game were " it all starts in the trenches "... But that just goes over our organizations heads and the fans which is more understandable. Money a problem ? well if they don't figure out where to spend it, they are just throwing it away and buying even more failure..

Been seeing this crap and jumping up and down for 2 decades and they still don't get it. Be surprised if they do in this coming off season. They will do the usual, get into the season with potential or backup material OL considered sufficient and then realize when its to late to do anything about it, something is drastically wrong and the fans gripping about The QB ( ground hog day II)......happens every year...

Ajayi Traded to the Eagles......for a 4th rdr...Thats enough for me....God the Dolphins really Suck
