Based on the ajayi trade I am guessing a third rounder would be correct compensation for them. I am done with this gase *******, he is throwing his players under the bus when it is his own fault that this offense sucks.
If one of our players goes to the cheaters, I will be done with this team. Unless that player trips and hurts Brady in the shower.
Running backs are a dime a dozen and ajayi was a pretty one dimensional player. There's no denying he has the ability to run hard but that's all he does well. He doesn't show the ability to catch passes out of the backfield or block when the defense blitzes. These are pretty critical attributes in this era and it's what separates him from the top RBs like Melvin Gordon. Coupled with the fact that his knees are on borrowed time, this was not a bad move on their part IMO. We have an offense that was not doing anything with him anyway and he wasn't willing to adjust or learn the playbook. I think he'll thrive in philly in an offense with better weapons and a line that'll give him lanes. He'll need to get his head out of his *** first though
If gase wanted to send a message and thought some of the other guys could do better he should have benched him and started drake or williams. But giving away a pro bowl running back for a 4th round pick is insane. I have lost all respect for gase.
Ajayi has been the best blocker out of the backfield we have. Williams has been ten times worse. And none of the running backs have been a factor in the passing game not just ajayi. That tells you the problem is the way gase designed the plays to get the ball to them.
lol....Ajayi didn't study. Doesn't hit the right holes. Doesn't block the right people. Was VERY gimpy the last 2 games. Has an attitude. That's Gase's fault?
A 4th round pick is a pretty fair compensation for Ajayi. Clearly didn't have it this year and running backs are a dime a dozen.
Being the tallest midget in the room means you're still a midget. Ajayi has SUCKED at blocking this season.
"I bet he thinks that Kenyan Drake and Damien Williams can manage 3.4 ypc with a fraction of the headaches."
I think we agree to disagree here, even tho I acknowledge a lot of the points you make, I’m not ready to let Gase and the FO off for this at this stage.
We are looking at this all wrong... Gase just made it so we won't be seeing 8 men in the box defense anymore... brilliant strategy!
Just like clockwork the homers come out and say we're a better team now. They just got rid of arguably their best offensive weapon and some of you think it's a great move. Enjoy those 6 wins this year
It will be exciting to see a defense shut a team down completely now....wait, it will be our offense that gets shut down.
For the people saying running backs are a dime a dozen, are running backs that run for 1200 yards and go to the pro bowl a dime a dozen?
I agree with this. However, I do think Landry might be next. Gase commented about receivers not doing the right thing too. Parker has been hurt so it is not him. Supposedly Gase loves Stills, so that pretty much leaves Landry at the target of the complaints.
Can we trade away our front office? Ill take a 7th rounder for the lot of them. If this is the move just rip the bandaid off. Trade Landry / and Parker today along with Wake and Suh for 5th rounders. Clear house from top to bottom. Admit your giving up. If the idea behind this move is the AJAY was the problem and has been dealt with I am going to go along with Gase is snorting some coke as well.
If he gets traded, I bet it is to the Pats. Landry would be scary in their system. We will get a 5th round pick.
with the passing attacked mixed with blount I would bet has more than a game or two with half the season left
juice_landry- Sometimes it’s not just about where you been.. It’s where your headed to #JuiceUp Landry posted this on his instagram account a few minutes ago.
There was an article yesterday that kinda put the writing on the wall. Gase said," It might not make the fans happy"
