As I've said before PFF can be useful. Like when they compile stats. However, when they invent their own methods or use their subject ways I'm less impressed.

Anyhow, for all of you PFF fanboys, most of which who seem to hang onto everything they say as gospel and also do nothing but whine about our draft picks, here ya go:

CB Cordrea Tankersley has only missed a handful of plays since his Week 4 debut and his 435 snaps rank fifth among rookie corners.

First-rounder Charles Harris ranks fifth among rookie edge defenders with 16 total pressures while fifth-rounder Davon Godchaux is tied for the lead among rookie interior defensive linemen with 13 stops.

I signed up for PFF this year. Haven't really enjoyed it or learned as much as I was hoping for. They seem to come up with all kinds of crazy psuedo-stats that seem to be only made up for Deniro's character in Casino. Kicking percentage within 8 hours of receiving a blumpkin while wearing a cashmere ankle sock.

Over the years I've purchased a few season subscriptions, but I've never been impressed. I think it was cbrad who has shown time and time again how their methods don't really hold up to any real scrutiny and have low credibility.

Tankersley single-handedly saved two TD's last week by running someone down from behind....he's giving awesome effort out there. I think he's going to be a heck of a player as he develops over the next few years.

But seriously, Tank and Godchaux have been nice finds, and hopefully remain a good building block for the future. One concerning thing to me is that some of our sophomores/youth seem to have regressed a bit.

Yeah but he is a first rounder, he should be. His true measure will come in year 2 though, he needs to be a full time starter and either have double digit sack total or significant pressure numbers. Harris is a guy that we need to become more than just average or somewhat above average. I love Wake, but he disappears for stretches, and as much as he is a workout god, he is old for what he does. Harris needs to be a major cog next year and a team leader in numbers and presence.

We were talking about Tankersley, Harris and other rookies that are having pretty good seasons. If you want to go negative and completely change the subject, then why don't you tell us what Howard's issue is? I'm not going to derail Dan's thread for you.

I don't know if they're regressed or not...part of that is being a victim of an offense that can't move the ball. The less the defense is on the field, the better the individual stats are going to be.

I was referring team wide, not just defensively. Tunsil is a good example on offense.

A 67.5 overall score puts Tunsil in the "high quality" category on PFF, which a lot of folks are overlooking here. He has missed a few blocks here and there but he's still playing worlds better than most people give him credit for. High quality means he's a solid NFL tackle, despite what people who know nothing about playing line are saying.

He's in the dark green for run blocking and pass blocking (the little trophies).

    You
You only like PFF when they reflect well on dolphins players. Whenever they rightfully expose our players as crap all of a sudden you say they don't know what they are talking about.

You should apply for the dolphins PR department, that is if you don't already work for them.

Wake disappears because he gets constantly double teamed and chip blocked.

Harris and branch on the other side of the line should be getting double digit sack numbers this season since suh and wake take up all the double teams. The fact that they have only 3.5 sacks between them tells me they suck.

You should feel lucky to have wake on this team, he has been one of the few consistent bright spots on this defense for years and he really is not showing any signs of slowing down yet. Maybe next year he will start to break down, but this year he has been a beast considering all the attention offenses devote to blocking him.

There’s a lot of things to not be happy about with Miami but you have to feel good about this last years draft. If Raekwon ends up doing anything and Harris develops, this could be the best one in years.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL Proof you don't watch these "games" Suh is double teamed all day. you can't double team suh and wake, that's 4 linemen out of 5 to block two players, that would leave 1 unblocked the whole game. please stop commenting until you try to watch these "games".

I have watched every game this season.

First of all they are not both double teamed on every play, and you can use more than just lineman to double team and chip block a dlineman, running backs and tight ends are used as well.

Fact of the matter is blocking schemes are geared to stop suh and wake, which means the guys on the other side of the line should be tearing it up by winning their one on one matchups, unfortunately they are not.
