I would not be opposed to LaMar Jackson. I think Miami has to address many issues via draft and FA, but drafting a qb won't hurt them if they pass on an OL. I mean you can say that they passed on Watson and drafted Harris. Where would Watson fit on this team now?
I won’t say who I like at QB until after the college playoffs are over, but I agree with you on Harris. I feel that we drafted on need.
we need a guy from a pro-style offense, but someone like Jackson is intriguing. I don't know if I want like a Will Grier ora guy from a conference that is weak and throws all day.
Honestly I’d be willing to scrap everything and let a college coach take over. It could end up being a Chip Kelly situation but it could also end up being a Jimmy Johnson situation. I just want to be bold, we’re not getting any younger here.
since Wanny, every coach I think has no experience. I'm not sure if that is the way to go. Having the NFL experience gives a slight leg up and allows less of a learning curve
Ugh, just so different between the NFL and college games. Xs and Os are somewhat similar, but the management is a world apart. I have no interest in college QBs unless they have NFL experience prior. A Carrol, a Harbaugh, etc. Otherwise, the general result is more along the lines of Saban/Petrino than not. These guys know how to handle college kids, know recruiting, deal with media that fawns on them, etc. They don't get those same things in the pro's. Saban couldn't handle adults that talked back, couldn't deal with the Miami media (lol, imagine him in NY or something) and without the recruiting advantage, couldn't build a good enough team. I'd take a college guy as a coordinator, but not a HC.
