It’s SB or garbage for me... Wentz has them on the path to a SB... and only Wentz can take Phillys roster to a SB (maybe Rodgers and Brady too)... Tannehill would not be able to take that roster to 10 wins let alone a SB... sorry
When I see posters talking about Tannehill being on the same level as Wentz, I’m sorry, but I have to intervene on that level of ignorance.
I haven't watched much of Philly this year, but if you ask us Dolphins fans how our team is doing without Tanny... it ****in sucks!
I doubt that. I was looking forward to seeing what he would do this year before getting hurt. To each their own.
After 5 seasons, it’s safe to say we would of saw an average/mediocre QB play. We might have 1 or 2 more wins maximum with tannehill. He isn’t a game changer like Brady, Wentz or Rodgers. Sorry. Cutler is awful, Tannehill is average, if you understand ladders/brackets then you would know it wouldn’t be that big a difference outside an extra win.
Under Philbin, I would agree. As far as being a game changer? His last name isn't Rodgers or Brady, what else would you like to change the subject to?
Miami also made it to the playoffs without Tannehill last year... remember when Matt Moore went 2-1 to finish the season? Yea that happened.... next?
I agree with the first part, we wouldn't be a playoff team if he were playing also. Thats obvious. If you had too sit back and judge his career right now? Average is really the perfect word. However YOU SIR said he would be garbage in Phi!!
Okay okay, to get off this garbage non sense, he wouldn’t be garbage but he wouldn’t be even close to Wentz and Philly would miss the playoffs... next?
Sucked is a strong word. he has been average to good as a whole, although he may be trending up to solid relative to his career after next year.
Again, I’m an individual that don’t hang his hat on moral victories and it’s SB or bust for me every year so 31 teams are garbage every season... it’s who I am... and Tannehill is average which to me is garbage... next?
After Tanny was 8-5, that also happened right? No, you changed the subject to Philly again. I see what you did there.
So why bother watching the regular season right? Maybe when Miami makes it back to the Super Bowl then you can jump on?
For the past 27 years of my life, that’s a great question... cuz lord knows, Phins sure have wasted A LOT of my time, emotion, and energy
Lmao you guys are so funny.. so now you think your Stephen Ross and own the team cuz you hang out all day (or life) on a forum... here’s a news flash that will surely drive you crazy... me and you have the same level of importance to the Miami Dolphin franchise... I know that burns you to your core but it’s true buddy.
Wasted is a tough word. Don't jump we'll be there soon enough. Just don't get washed up in the offseason hype. Look at Tanny's record under Philbin, then under Gase. Look for positive trends. I see some with Gase.
Simple math would be 2-2, he lost to Pittsburgh in the playoffs. I'm not saying Tannehill would have won that game outright. But come on man, 8 -5 > 2-2.
Thanks dude.. I have stayed away from the off-season Kool aid the past few years so I been able to take everything in stride instead of getting upset that the Dolphins I thought that were gonna go 11-5 end up going 6-10... it’s heartbreaking
I can't agree with that...not even a little bit. We barely lost two games by leaving it in the ref's hands after crap offensive performances. Flip those around and we're 6-5. We dropped three early low scoring games as well because the offense was in shambles....give us two of them and we're 8-3. Even with the two blowout losses, we're still only a game back IF Tannehill generated by last year's standards. I'm not a huge fan of the "what if" game because it's impossible to predict all the variables, but I don't think it's a stretch to say we would have been better this season with Tannehill. And honestly, we wouldn't have to be too much better to be a near lock in the AFC right now.
Better, absolutely. But the NFL is fickle. Your buddy Matt looked like a Pro Bowl QB 2 divisional games on the road! Thats hard to do. He put up 30+ in those games, and threw as many Td's in a half as Ryan did in a game. Yet this year? He looks like he should be a practice squad player. The team is different this year. Go back and look at how the offense played when they didn't have a running game last year.......then look at the offense this year when the running game has been non existent. Suck and suckier. The biggest key to our success last season other than a weak schedule was the emergence of Jay Ajayi. This year our running game didn't even get a little better until he was traded. I think RT is a good QB, but he's never really been a game changer. We would also have to assume Ryan would've played well in our wins and led a comeback in Atlanta. He certainly could have, but the fact he has looked pedestrian w/o a running game himself makes me doubt we are anything beyond a win better at this point.
I think the short week before Baltimore just did Moore in- I read the other week that they basically did a few walkthroughs and that was it, so it's hard to pin only on Moore. The team played bad and you're right, the lack of a run game stomped out our chances. I did think he looked pretty solid against NE though...I still feel like we win that game if Parker went up and hauled in that TD pass right before the half. I mean, we were probably done either way but at least it would have been more of a dogfight. I was hoping that he'd get one more start to show his stuff, but that's football. In Cutler we trust.
