People have said he played at a top 10 level. That is not saying he's a top 10 QB.

That is BS. Ryan Fitzpatrick would have lead that team to 2 super bowls.

Furthermore, we've seen what this team does without Thill.

Oh wait...lemme guess this year wasn't about the QB.....sigh

Are u talking about Matt Moore being 2-0 in games that mattered last year also? If so, your statement is fair, and I think it helps prove a tad that we were just a better team last year overall who was riding a hot wave.

And yes, we got on that hot wave because RT was playing at a top 10 level pre injury

    So CAL
same discussion as 200 times b 4, 8-1 against teams .500 or less except the one we lost too correct? if you play the browns 12 times your bound to have a good record aren't you?

Its all going to come to a head next yr and I cant wait someone is going to look smart and one is going to look dumb, Miami will have a tough schedule and it will be a defining yr for Gase and RT.

ya we made the playoffs w out him needing 3 games, this yr was just a weird one, cutler is garbage and I think he demoralized the whole team.

I think there's enough data to show that Moore is as streaky as Cutler.

Only in the twisted world of Thill hate is 8-1 not leading a team to the playoffs, but the guy coming in to play clean up against awful teams the guy that lead the team to the playoffs.

Good news, I'm turning over a new leaf, I'm not arguing with yahoo commenters anymore, even on this site. So, we're done.

taking that away, the personality disorder that cutler suffers from is the problem, not the play. Moore had the locker room people believed
in him and cutler is a cancer to any closed room.

    I agree.

But that same data has shown we haven’t had consistent Good QB play in many years.

But here is to hoping that all changes in 2018.

I disagree, Travis is showing us that Thill has been pretty consistent with his deep dive into the tape. Its been the talent and coaching around him that hasn't;t been consistent or (for the most part) even good.

I respect the effort and time Travis puts in, that being said....NOBODY has an opinion that should be taken as gospel when it comes to evaluating football.

There is a good reason teams go through GM’s and Scout’s regularly. It is an inexact science.

Not that I see a problem with leaning to that side, I think he certainly has been closer to good than he has consistently bad.

To me he is always been tiered somewhere between 12-18 depending on which season you want to talk about it.

This will be a big, telling year for Ryan, you can’t keep getting by on potential at 31 years old. It’s time to take that step by continuing his hot play from last year, or we gotta move on in 2019.

I agree. And I 'd even take it a step further.

If someone like Barkley is available at 11 I'd hope that the Dolphins pick him up. I believe in RT. I think he will be what the Dolphins need next season. I think he was what they needed last season until he was hurt. However, grabbing a great QB now would only help this team.

oh no it helped, but to not give moore credit is a shame, if we go 8-1 and lose the remaining games do we make the playoffs? no, so in terms both guys had a hand in the final playoff spot not just RT.

I have a feeling Mayfield is going to fall, I think rosen Jackson allen and darnell all go ahead of him and looking at the top 10 picks we might get lucky.

I would really like us to get a solid LB who can cover TE if Mayfield isn't there.

    Ugh

I just don’t see anything in Barkley I like.

But as a guy in talks of being the number 1 pick, if he is there at 11 then certainly not a horrible idea to draft him to sit for a year and learn.

I previously wrote an email to the 'Pro Football Doc', Dr. David Chao, asking his opinion on the likely status of Tannehill's knee, especially considering the second, preseason, injury, and the fact some are saying this indicates that he is now injury prone.

    Here's his response:

"Tannenhill should be fine. Barring further damage, this should be like a first time ACL and fine for 2018."

So that's good to hear. Hopefully that's how this plays out.
