It's actually a good idea and a funny idea.

That said, they should have fixed the issue in development or with a patch at some point in time, eliminating the need to make "humour" out of it. I might be a little too serious but when people drop down $50-75 for a game they should not have to pay for a "beta" or an incomplete game and then wait for a patch that never comes.

I hate EA. They are everything that is wrong with big business. Stop new thought, stop development, stop coming up with new ideas. Just pump out as much as they can get out of a franchise. When someone comes along with new ideas, thoughts and concepts and offers REAL competition? Buy them out. Our game is lagging behind and we are starting to see someone else in the picture? Use our mega bankroll and buy the exclusive license.

They better watch out though. There are a LOT of people that are just as weary of them as I am and eventually it will bite them in the ***.

Nah. It'll never happen. As you said, if another company outdoes them, they'll buy em out. And if there's no other option, it's better then nothing (atleast that's the idea).

The only competition out there is Take two (2k). They've already destroyed their NFL series. Thank god the buy out didn't work out. NBA 2k is really the last great sports series out there (MLB: The show too, but not nearly as popular).

I hate the whole license exclusivity **** from all companies and all sports. Why isn't it considered a monopoly?

    Oh ha ha ha EA...

It's good to see that with all the MONEY your making, instead of using it to FIX these bogus freaking glitches, instead you waste it on paying Tiger Woods to make goofy junk like this.

Instead of using the man power and time spent thinking up of this mess...you could've used that time to think up of how you can INNOVATE the games that are getting stale and FIX the games you make such as Madden and NASCAR (which BTW has a glitch this year which KILLS your game save ala the Madden 08 franchise killing glitch)...

When Take-Two shipped out their moderately-tinkered new NFL product, they slashed the price. That was a nice gesture on their part.

I'd like to see EA try that with football players clipping right in and out of another player's body. Or the magnet catches.

Big business is often the source of some truly useful innovations.

Instead of attacking small businesses that have succeeded in their aim of expanding operations, it's better to just say "video game publishers" in place of "big business." Because that would be accurate.

Publishers are run by people who don't care about games beyond the ability to turn a profit off them. This leads to a me-too mentality, rather than a me-first mentality. Note the reaction to Grand Theft Auto III: we got something like six clones within 18 months. We even got double cash-ins: games like Scarface used both a movie license AND cloned GTA. (Brilliant, right? The publisher thought so!)

But at the same time, when someone proves that they can consistently produce hits, they're given dump trucks of money and left alone. Look at how Konami treats Hideo Kojima; a blank check and no interference.

Let's at least be happy that the Tiger Woods team has a willingness to self-deprecate like this. It's generally an indicator of devotion to a decent product. Would that the Madden team showed this kind of devotion.

The glitch is a guy hit a ball into the lake, and Tiger Woods was able to shoot the ball from the middle of the lake standing on water. So EA released a commercial that shows Tiger hitting a ball into the lake, then taking off his shoes, walking on water, and hitting the ball from the middle of the lake. At the end it says, "It's not a glitch, it's a feature."

    Pretty funny
