Think it's break. A pop warner kid can tackle better. I dont know how you come back from that. Best case is he is waived immediately and starts fresh on another team.

    Here are our new brackets-

    AFC

    [IMG] vs [IMG]

    NFC

    [IMG] vs [IMG]

I didn't watch much of the Pats game since they were winning throughout, but the other three games were highly competitive. The Vikings advanced by pure luck...the luckiest win I think I've ever seen in my life...while Jacksonville impressed the heck out of me. Folks, I really think Jax has a shot against NE next week!

Back to the Vikings- best sports moment of the year folks? What an incredible game! Keep watching the video to see Keenum freak out after he realizes what had actually happened.

You have to feel bad for the Saints though- the way they clawed back while down 17...that's only the 2nd time in history that's happened in the playoffs (the first was last year's Super Bowl). What a heartbreaker!

In the NFC, I don't think Philly has anything for Minnesota's defense...but stranger things have happened. I think we're looking at a Jax-Minnesota Super Bowl- I think they'd have a better chance beating NE in case Jax can't do it next week anyway. I was kidding last week when I said that I was becoming a Jacksonville fan but now I'm all-in...I loved watching them dominate Pitt today!

AOBNE is my new slogan. AnyOne But New England

Hoping for Minnesota over Philly as I have no love for any Philly sports team (the NYG are my 2nd fave team and the rest of the teams I like in other sports all play in a division with a Philly team and their fans make Jet fans look sane at times). Plus 8 think Minnesota has a better defense to match up with NE if they get there.

I’d love to see Coughlin (Jags front office) knock out his old buddy Belichick again. These two “frenemies” go way back as they were on the Giants staff in the late 80’s/very early 90’s. So far Coughlin is 2-0 in the playoffs vs Bill. Let’s hope he can give Marrone some insight on how to win. Plus I said 3 years ago Coughlin wasn’t the issue NY and I like personal validation in instances like this since so many Giant fans said otherwise.

The most interesting questions of the day revolve around Case Keenum imo. As in how much money did he make himself in free agency today? And while Minnesota invested a 1st in Bridgewater and a 1st and 4th in Bradford how can they justify letting Keenum go after a performance like that?

If the Jaguars beat the Patriots, they are going to become one of my "2nd favorite" teams. Now that Brees is out, I'll be rooting for Jacksonville all the way. Their uniforms (colors) aren't bad either, except for that crazy helmet design!@?!

I'm not sure how well the Jags match-up with the Pats. At times football seems like Rock-Paper-Scissors, where Buffalo can hold the Jags to 10 points and then the Steelers give up 40+ somehow. If they have an answer for Gronk, it could be a really good game. I'll be pulling for an upset by the Jags.

I was not all that impressed with the Vikes against the Saints, and since Foles found a bit of a groove against the Falcons, I think the Eagles win next week at home.

I gotta say, I’ve been watching football since I was 4 or 5 so that’s about 35 years and I can’t recall any Steelers team just getting whipped like that. The Jags did whatever they wanted on offense limited only by mediocre QB play.

Don't forget last year's 34-3 loss to the Eagles. This was during the early season Carson Wentz hype (which gradually receded as the season went on) and Roethlisberger was more or less shut down in that game.

Whoever gets keenuma is going to be sorry I think. He threw a ot of dangerous passes that he got away with. It seems to me lady luck is blowing him big time this year. Usually when you have a year where you can do no wrong it' followed by a year where you can do no right. The universal luck scale must be balanced

So you think Tannehill is better than Carson Wentz and Blake Bortles? That's laughable. As far as Keenum and foles, id take keenum over him and say that foles and Tannehill are probably equal

Yea you're right. I wish Tannehill could go 14/26 for 214 yards and 1 touchdown in a game like Bortles did. If he could play THAT good...man we'd be unstoppable!!!

Crazy that the Jaguars are that good hell, they been really bad the last 8 years and now one step away from the superbowl, what a great defense..I wish we could come as far as they do, they only need a better Qb like alex smith could be a contender for years

I thought so at first too. However, if you slow it down he was waaaaaaay early and if he had hit him it would have been a PI call. Granted that would have been better than the TD, but I think they were told "NO PI CALL!" there was only 10 seconds to go after all.

1984 AFC Championship game in the Orange Bowl. Marino's best game ever! Dan was 21-32 421 yrds and 4 TD's 45-28...and it wasn't even that close!

    One word for you:

    Defense.

And that's true for even the Pats. When the Pats defense started the year looking like a pile of **** the Pats were 2-2. Once the defense got rolling the Pats started winning.

    As for your question.

RT is better than Bortles. Bortles has an 84 passer rating this season. Yeah, That's why they're in the playoffs!!

He's been better than Keenum. Before Keenum got to Minny he had a career 79 passer rating. It took him 6 seasons in the NFL to play this well.

Wentz looks good, but he may turn out to be a flash in the pan and even though he does some things better than RT, he doesn't do everything better.

Foles? BWHAHAH! Do you even watch football? Foles has a 79 passer rating for the season.

GTFO with this sheet post.... lol

It's statements such as this that shows me many folks' minuscule knowledge of football. I'm not taking a personal shot at you dolfan, I'm REALLY not but so many fans seem to have this mindset that if you don't have a record breaking elite quarterback under center, your team is doomed and that's just not the case!

This is Tom Coughlin's first year back in Jacksonville, this time as the Executive VP of Football Operations. Bottom line, this is HIS team and Coughlin has built this team using the same model he used in New York as the head coach.

    -Strong defense
    -Strong running game
    -Competent quarterback play

Notice I said competent and not strong because let's face it, Eli Manning ain't breaking any NFL records...but the man does have 2 Super Bowl rings and he has them by playing competently.

With a good supporting cast around him, Bortles the burden of winning isn't on his shoulders and his shoulders alone. The burden is on him however to play competently. Play mistake free and let all of the team pieces fall into place.

Yesterday, Bortles was 14/26, 214 yards and 1 TD but most importantly, Bortles didn't turn the ball over and in the playoffs, that is crucial to winning offensively...that and a strong running game.

The early opinions have the Patriots destroying the Jaguars something like 2289-3 and Tom Brady throwing for 327 Touchdowns. I know, sarcastic exaggeration but the sentiment is Jacksonville doesn't stand a chance. To those who feel that, I have only one thing to say...

Tom Coughlin was responsible for showing the Patriots what an 18-1 season felt like and in the Super Bowl, defeated them not just once...but twice.

    Don't count the Jags out!

Yeah, he came in too fast and couldn't adjust- it was just a freak play at the worst possible time. You're right, he would have been better off leveling the guy, taking the flag and then there's still a long field goal to deal with.....but he laid out his teammate instead.

I'd hate to be that dude today, you know he feels like dirt for letting down the entire franchise/city. Even if it was a complete pass without the flag ANYWHERE on the field, they never would have got the field goal team lined up in time. I still can't believe it to be honest.

What impressed me wasn't just the domination early, but how Jacksonville answered Big Ben down the stretch. Those Pitt TD's were amazing in their own right and they looked like a team that couldn't lose. So for Bortles and Jacksonville to keep battling back was borderline shocking to me...none of us saw that coming.

Please don't try to twist this into a Tannehill thread...we have plenty of those going already. There were three great games this past weekend (and the stinkin Pats game) so please just let folks enjoy the playoffs.

For perspective though, everyone here said that Jacksonville would get blown out yesterday...now they're wondering if they can win the whole darn thing. Miami is not nearly as far back as you're making them out to be. If we were in this season's playoffs, I guarantee you that we would have put on a better show than the NE game yesterday- Brady would not have been smiling for four quarters.

The same Eli Manning thats 8th all time in TD passes and 6th all time in yards? He may not break the record but hes no slouch or mediocre QB many people want him to be. Hes a bonafide HOF QB. At his best, i would have put him up against anyone, particularly in the 2 minute drill where from 06--13 he was just deadly.

Yeah, I watch football. I watched 3 qbs that have been in the league for less time than Tannehill, guide their teams to their conference championship games. Just let me know exactly what Tannehill has done in his career that would make you say he's better than them.

    Honest question:
If you put Keenum, Bortles or Foles on our Dolphins squad, do we make the playoffs?

If you put replace those QB's with Tannehill, are the Vikings, Jaguars, and Eagles still Super Bowl contenders?

You might watch it, but you don't understand it.

And the way you completely ignore the facts of my post is impressive. Not in a good way, mind you.

    2017 QB passer ratings:

    Bortles: 84
    Keenum: 98
    Foles: 79
    Brady: 102

    Their respective teams defensive ranks:

    2nd
    1st
    4th
    5th

Ryan Tannehill passer ratings for 2014, 2015, 2016:

    93
    89
    93

The Dolphins defensive rankings for those years:

    20
    19
    18

    See the difference?

So far so good then. :) My Saints-Steelers Super Bowl has gone by the wayside.

The Vikes-Jags would be interesting due to the average offense versus great defense for both teams. What is the lowest scoring Super Bowl? *Googles* Oh, should have known this: Super Bowl VII: Miami Dolphins 14, Washington Redskins 7.

Defensive scoring might inflate the numbers, but a 12-9 game seems possible. Since I stated that though, it will end up as a 34-31 type game.
