We need the all star break so bad. This team needs time off...

As for the cavs, they need a trade. Theyre getting completely smoked.

Rockets up 26 pts on the Cavs.

I am imagining LeBron leaving on the plane with the Rockets after the game. He looks totally frustrated, Lol.

Cavs are delusional lol...they just offered JR Smith (bloated contract), Tristan Thompson (bloated contract) and their own 1st (not even Brooklyn’s) for Deandre Jordan. I wouldn’t even give them Enes Kanter if it meat taking back those two ridiculous deals let alone a better player in DeAndre Jordan. :jt0323:

Should be an interesting trade deadline. Knicks need to be sellers on Kyle O Quinn, Courtney Lee (or THJR), Jarrett Jack, Doug McDermott, Beasley, and Lance Thomas....possibly Kanter too if they can get a late 1st. Late 1sts (for Lee and O Quinn) or 2nds or futures are fine.

This should end the talk of LeBron heading to the Houston Fraudkets.

All that trash talking about how bad the Magic are, yet your 2nd favorite team just got beat up by them....AGAIN???

James Harden beat them by himself, Lol.

    Give it up, man.

Did you read the 2nd quote?

The Heat are not a good team. I guess I had to say it again. If your benchmark is the Heat, you are a sad man.

It's time to pull the plug on this Heat team IMO. I think you see what you can get for some of these guys. Whiteside will probably give you the best return. I'm not sure I'd completely give up on the season depending on what's out there, but I think we've seen that it isn't going to work with this current unit. And there's no way they go into the luxury tax for this team, so if you can't sneak a deal for a good player, I'd probably blow it up. You're two games up on missing the playoffs completely, and you just lost Olynyk for some time. I just don't see a good reason to try and keep it going like this with the trade deadline coming up fast.

Dragic, jrich, and Whiteside should all fetch nice returns. I want to keep jrich though. It’s too late to tank. Riley is probably going to try to pull a trade off. If not, worst case well remain competitive the rest of the way. That should be good for bams development.

Bam, Winslow and jrich are all young and can form a nice core.

The warriors are winning the championship this year. Probably next year and the year after that too.

Heat just don’t have any really good players. It’s that simple. Whiteside and Dragic are their best but both are probably “B” level guys at best.

Waiters is the wild card. If he was healthy we might’ve won some of these close games against bad teams just because of his shot making, but that’s kind of the point. When you really miss Dion Waiters you ain’t that good.

I’d probably trade Whiteside especially since we don’t really use him anyway. Dragic too.

J-Rich would really be my only untouchable. He’s the only guy with “A” level potential

Teams are rolling up to the playoffs with tanks and Miami just brought a bunch of pistols and Swiss Army Knives hoping they'd be enough. Blowing it up could net some good returns though. Ellington, Whiteside, Dragic and TJ should be able to get some solid compensation. Building a new team while retaining Bam and Richarson would be the ideal move right now.

Yeah, this isn’t about a tank, it’s about looking to the future. They gave it a shot with this group to recapture what they had the second half last year, and for a short spurt it looked like they might have it again. It just didn’t work out, though, and they are headed for the luxury tax, which they won’t pay with a mediocre team. So instead of selling off players just to clear their money in the off-season, they should first see if there is a move with Whiteside for a good player that can help them now and in the future, they should see what picks or young players they can get for him, Ellington, and maybe even Dragic.

I imagine Ellington could fetch a first from a contender. Everyone is looking for 3 point shooting and his contract is excellent value

We don't have any way of replacing him. This would look like a punt on the season which I can't see Riley doing.

But we also can’t resign him without going into the tax (presuming we don’t find some other salary dump).

We’re not in a great place right now.

Miami is attempting to make a move for Tyreke Evans. This has to be an expiring contract thing. He's playing solid basketball this season, but he's not going to put us over anyone we're not already over.

Lol im quite entertained by the implosion in cleveland.lebron leaving cleveland is almost a certainty. Gilbert and Lebron dont get along, Dan is going to build around isaiah next year.

He isnt going to trade away valuable picks to salvage this season. He is letting people know he is sick of working with lebron james.

    Its almost over.

And yea i think houston and LA are the front runners for him.

Incidentally, LAL is shifting its focus toward 2019. They're less confident in their ability to lure the big fish right now, and want to position themselves to take on Butler, Leonard, or one of the other big 2019 guys if they make it to market. Honestly, they could win the LBJ sweepstakes by default. Not many teams have LeBron money to throw around right now. I was thinking Brooklyn may be able to try something, but I forgot how ****ty that Allen Crabbe contract is, not to mention Mozgov's terrible deal.

So ESPN made a list of big deals they'd like to see at the deadline. One was Tyler Johnson and Winslow for Lou Williams, which would be an easy decision for Miami if that were actually an option.

The other one, while it would never happen, is actually about as good a trade for two teams as it can get:

Miami gets: Kevin Love, Channing Frye, Isaiah Thomas, Derrick Rose, and the Brooklyn 1st rounder.

Cleveland gets: Wayne Ellington, Hassan Whiteside, and Goran Dragic.

While I can't ever see Miami and Cleveland making a deal because of the poison shared between the two franchises, it's actually a great move for both sides. It gives Miami a reset with a good player in Love, and a good lottery pick. They probably would let Thomas walk, and they'd get some cap flexibility. From Cleveland's POV, it could legitimately win them a championship. Those are three players to perfectly help what is ailing them. Whiteside gives you a low post defender you're drastically missing, Dragic is a perfect fit at PG next to LeBron as he can operate off the ball, and Ellington gives them elite 3 point shooting (their Ray Allen).

While I love the trade idea it seems a little grandiose. How about Love and D Rose plus BK 1st for Whiteside and Dragon? Or Whiteside and Ellington? I'm sure the money doesn't match up but I want nothing to do with IT really..

IT would be a formality. He's going to be a FA. That's part of what would open up cap space for Miami.

Right. Unless Miami dumps salary elsewhere, they'd be among the highest spenders in the league. They just can't justify that with a mediocre team. When you look at that, and realize that Ellington is such a precious commodity with his shooting, the best move would be to trade him unless Riley can pull something crazy off to improve the team right now.

3/13 from isaiah thomas today and they blew a 21 pt lead. They lost the fourth quatter 24-9. 9 whole points in the fourth. That is terrible.

Lebron refuses to waive his NTC atm but i bet if cp3 gave him a call he would think about it. Lebron is very protective of his brand tho, i think he rather ride it out and give cleveland a proper good bye in the offseason. But his time is coming to an end, he just cant stand gilbert.

Of the reasonable names being thrown out as possible options for Miami, Mario Hezonja is the one that intrigues me the most. He hasn't turned into the player I thought he could be when he was drafted, but there is still considerable skill there. He is in the mold of player that Miami tends to do well in rehabilitating.
