As the OP for this thread let me drop my two cents. The thread started with notice being drawn to the decent performances some of our players were giving during what was expected to be, and was, a poor season. It was a way, throughout this generally negative and frustrating 'wasted' year (if a year can be wasted), to try to spot some highlights and silver linings - to see which players were proving themselves and who was showing up. Obviously there's no deep play by play analysis here (go see one of Aqua's threads, or similar, for some of that), it's just simple PFF ratings. Some people love PFF, some people hate them. Either way, they're easily accessible on social media and can at least provide a consistent measuring standard within their own world, so to speak. What was, perhaps, most surprising was that there were moments when Dolphins play wasn't just good but top rated - right up there with the best in the league. I thought that was at least noteworthy and could provide food for thought and analysis, and some extra data, such as it is, for those that like that. That's why I started this thread. It was a crappy season; it always was going to be. So the poor performances in several areas (not all) weren't noteworthy in my eyes; they were to be expected. That's why I personally didn't start any such thread or aim to look at that here. It was the highlights that were noteworthy, at least to me, and that's why this thread exists. So yes, the Dolphins sucked last year, a lot, in many ways - but not in every way. I wanted to try to look at that. That why this thread exists.
Its a good thread. My point was it illustrates we have good athletes. So why cant they do better then 8 - 8.?
