For now he remains a Dolphin, although other teams started reaching out as soon as he put his name on the dotted line. http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/new...y-trade-rumors-2018/eefh6foayjbz1xhnc1qimsdkx
$1,000,000 a game $16,666 per minute $277.76 per second Or $142,857 per catch based on the 112 receptions of last season Or $1,777,777 for every touchdown based on the 9 from this past season Or $16,210 for each and every 1 yard gained based on his yards receiving this past season but it's not my money...PAY THE MAN
At what cost to other area's on the roster? I'm all for paying him, but no at a 16m cap hit. thats just..... stupid. aka, that's Tannenbaum.
Unless he is willing to sign a long term contract with the Dolphins or another team for $10-11 million a year, the Dolphins are likely stuck paying him $16 million this coming season. I believe Landry and his agent have totally overestimated how much money NFL teams are willing to pay a slot receive. Even though he is one of the best slot WR in the league, he is NOT the type of WR who is seen as a number 1 WR on a teams roster. The top number 1 WR’s can command the type of money Landry is looking to receive but I just don’t see Landy getting the $15 million a year on a long term contract he seems to want. Hopefully he enjoys the $16 million he is going to be paid this coming season. Because I suspect he will be paid several million dollars a year less once the 2018 season ends.
Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) The #Browns quickly emerged as the favorite for WR Jarvis Landry. Now they trade for him in exchange for a pick in 2018 and a pick in 2019. Huge move
