Things are starting to happen so maybe it needs its own Thread... Ian RapoportVerified account @RapSheet The #Rams are trading LB Alec Ogletree to the #Giants for 2 draft picks, source said. He was offered to the #Chiefs, too, but they declined. @AdamSchefter on it first.
They must be desperate to clear cap space. I almost wonder if we should have gone after him instead of Quinn.
Ogletree wasn't getting a lot of love from Rams fans on Twitter last night - it could be sour grapes after him going but anyone know how he graded out last year to know if he was someone that we should have kicked the tires on?
Adam SchefterVerified account @AdamSchefter Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry signed his franchise tender this morning, per source. Is there a trade right around the corner ?????
The Rams continue building the best secondary in the league - having traded for Marcus Peters, they also signed Sam Shields from the FA and traded for qib Talib, sending just a fifth round pick to Denver (they need cap space to run after Cousins). The Rams also have Trumaine Johnson, Kayvon Webster to re-sign - and Nickell Robey Coleman. As Coleman is FA, I would like to see him signing with the Dolphins!
Avery Williamson was offered a 4 year, 12 million dollar deal from the Titans. He turned it down. Told the Dolphins are interested per source.
Too expensive? We just got rid of landry and suh. Norwell is a top flight guard, would completely transform our offensive line. Whatever. They better look at Justin Pugh. Top flight players cost money. Our offensive line has been a problem for years now. The last time we had a decent line was sparano’s first year.
Norwell is gone Allen Robinson is gone Sammy Watkins also a done deal with the Chiefs Please call up Justin Pugh.
Rumor: Dolphins are the front runner for WR Albert Wilson https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/201...s-are-the-favorites-to-sign-wr-albert-wilson/
Ian RapoportVerified account @RapSheet 1m1 minute ago The #Dolphins are planning to sign former #Chiefs WR Albert Wilson to a 3-year deal worth $24M when the league year begins, sources say.
Ian RapoportVerified account @RapSheet 14m14 minutes ago Ian Rapoport Retweeted Mike Garafolo For Trey Burton, it’s 4 years, $32M, source said. Big payday.
With Case Keenum reportedly heading to Denver and Sam Bradford and AJ McCarron being on Buffalo’s radar, do you think that there’s a chance that Baker Mayfield – or any of the other top QB’s - will still be available at 11? I’d earmarked the Broncos and the Bills as two teams who would be selecting QB’s in round 1 with Mayfield possibly heading to Buffalo. Although there’s nothing to stop either of them still drafting a top QB to compete with the veteran I guess. Reports of the Jets being in for Teddy Bridgewater too so that might be another team not as desperate.
I don't think signing a QB now necessarily stops any team for selecting a QB in the first round. I don't think this improves the Dolphins chances at all.
Ian RapoportVerified account @RapSheet 5m5 minutes ago The #Titans are signing former #Patriots RB Dion Lewis to a 4-year deal that makes him a Top 10 running back in the NFL.
Ian RapoportVerified account @RapSheet 7m7 minutes ago The #Jets are expected to sign #Titans FA LB Avery Williamson, source said. A perfect fit for a 3-4 ILB.
Im glad we didnt sign him, i get sick of putting a bandaid on the linebacker unit, we need to get ourselves a gamechanger
Adam SchefterVerified account @AdamSchefter 37s37 seconds ago Eagles are re-signing LB Nigel Bradham, per source. Adam SchefterVerified account @AdamSchefter 7m7 minutes ago Eagles' LB Nigel Bradham is signing a 5-year, $40 million deal, per source. The #Eagles keep one of their own, and now they are expected to shop LB Mychal Kendricks, who has a 7.6M cap hit. Why trade for Mychal Kendricks when you know the Eagles almost have to cut him?
Adam SchefterVerified account @AdamSchefter 9m9 minutes ago After failing to find a trade partner for him, Lions are releasing former first-round pick Eric Ebron, per source. Another TE hits the market. Lions released TE Eric Ebron. The move had to be made today before 4 PM ET if the Lions were going to save his $8 million-plus salary from becoming guaranteed. (rotoworld)
Ebron is an interesting option. He certainly hasn't lived up to expectations, but he was quite the talent coming out of school and still has time to turn his career around (24). Pairing him with a veteran TE might be wise--Antonio Gates?
@AdamSchefter Now that the new league year is upon us and no trade has materialized, Dolphins are releasing DT Ndamukong Suh, per source. He will be free to sign with another team.
Tyrann Mathieu has been released. The Dolphins should be all over this. I know he wants money but man we could use his help he's great and he's versatile
