Care to elaborate how Albert Wilson is smarter than Jarvis Landry?

    Please be very specific.

I seem to recall Andre Johnson beating the crap out of a CB, it's not like Jarvis is our here throwing fisticuffs every other game.

What makes Albert Wilson the smarter man, like the details behind his superior intellect in comparison?

Just seems wrong to me slandering Landry’s intelligence after everything that he gave to the Dolphins.

Landry didn’t design the plays. Landry didn’t construct the offense either. That’s all on Adam Gase.

Jarvis Landry simply ran the plays as they were called onto the field. How is that his fault?

Fault is the wrong word - it's his limitation as a receiver. That's why we're not paying him $16 million for his services.

He had just about as many knucklehead moments as he did big plays for this team. Please remember - he chose MONEY over this franchise.

In fact just looking over Landry's career penalties with this team. These aren't the traits of a high IQ football player, they're typical of an impulsive/selfish one though.

    Unsportsmanlike Conduct = 5
    Taunting = 3
    Unecessary Roughness = 2

I know that. He has a temper and it cost the team penalties in the past. What I asked was, what are the details on Albert Wilson’s intelligence that clearly sets him apart from Landry? Are the penalties the only measuring stick, and Albert Wilson has never been penalized in his career?

Bear in mind, I do like Wilson myself.

    Offensive holding: 3
    False starts: 2
    Offensive pass interference: 2

No it didnt just cost the team penalties. His antics literally lost us games just this past season. Dont leave it as just penalties. We got losses because of his stupid penalties. And then on top of those stupid penalties he had stupid fumbles and stupid drops, because once he started to get angry he lost his composure and couldnt get his head back in the game.

His penalties were not the singular reason we lost football games. Over the course of a game, there’s a myriad of factors that effect the final result.

What makes Albert Wilson so much more intelligent than Landry?

Isn't it obvious? Because Gase says so, Gase thought Landry lacked so much intelligence he based his offense around him. Landry was so reckless and selfish that instead of being benched, traded, or cut during the season, absolutely no repercussions were exacted, well besides making him catch 100+ balls within 5 yds of the los.

I think his contract was up actually. It is a risk as he is older so his skills may erode or he gets hurt again. The man can return punts though and makes clutch catches. High risk, high reward.

You need leaders among the players too. A player coming from a winning organization and with a Super Bowl ring commands at least some respect and can be a good influence on the younger guys.

Carroo? Who has shown NOTHING at all so far? I expect he'll be cut this year, embarrassing as it is for the front office to admit to a pretty big waste of multiple draft picks. The coaches don't feel all that excited about the other guys, so you get a young WR who has flashed potential and a vet WR to balance things out.

There are a lot of gaps in the roster, but the drafted guys are pretty cheap. At least we have some WR depth. It will take another good draft and some FA signings in 2019 to really build a solid team.

Amendola has a particular skills set, and if used correctly should help make up some of the production lost with Jarvis gone. I probably need to see Danny catch a game winner to beat the Pats this season before I'll actually like him, but I understand the move.

We are also able to pick Amendola's brains regarding the Pats systems - appreciate that they will probably change a lot when we play them but there could still be valuable information to mine from him

Actually he didnt. He is one of the players that ran wrong routes constantly. Gase said he's done simplifying the offense. You either learn the offense or you'e gone. Wilson and amendola both bring reps of being highly intelligent. Were finally going to see what a Gase offense looks like.

His penalties were definitely a huge factor on why we lost some games this season and later when i am home from work ill have a breakdown on the games we lost and his untimely penalties and the drops and fumbles he had on top of those penalties. He is the worst kind of headcase.

Based off stats and actual NFL production, Jarvis is 4x better than Wilson and that’s statistical fact my friend. Can’t wait to hear the first complaint/“This guy Wilson is horrible” when RT has no actual real security blanket and we look like fools out there.

where does this notion come from? How do you lead the whole NFL in receptions but always run the wrong route? Makes no sense at all. But if that’s the case, DeVante Parker should start “constantly” running the wrong routes because that guy ******* sucks.

Amendola????YAY!!!!! That means we will get a total of 4 games played in 2 years, but still waaaay better to spend our money like this instead of the player that was fastest to 400 receptions in NFL history. LMAO

Who cares? Not like the franchise is some powerhouse or dynasty. We aren’t even mediocre and most of the fans here have turned on him anyways. If I’m Jarvis, I’m taking the money and setting my family up instead of taking discounts for a city of fans that likes to constantly tell me my 40 time instead of saying thanks for all the catches I just delivered. We aren’t the Eagles or Patriots, nobody taking discounts to play with us.

I think you're the smartest man in this room.

I would presume the same thing. Nothing wrong with bringing in a player with a little something left in the tank that has also been a part of a division rival that happens to have been the best (cheating) team in the league for the last 17 years. I think he will be priceless in terms of swagger and information on not only how to play at a high level, but the Pats "ways".

He's averaged 14 games per season since coming into the league. His y/c and TD numbers are very Landry-like.

And made of glass? Liar. I assure you no human is made of glass.

So far, it appears the Dolphins brass know what they’re doing. They turned one player into 4 and saved $2m at the slot position.

    So CAL
the only difference to this and landry is the fact we aren't going to be able to see landry's full potential since he went to Cleveland. I know amendola is a nice signing, 5 years ago. He is no longer with tom brady and has RT and this remedial gase offense. So I would have to bet Miami paid 12 mil to have gase happy when he walks through the locker room. I would of rather had jordy nelson in all honesty.

What's funny to me is amendola is not going to give up patriots schemes etc and even if he does Bilicheat is going to change it up. Gase is literally going after the patriots by getting patriots, but if hes not careful he is going to get past by the bills ad jets and we will be at the bottom of the barrel. The bills are a qb and a couple signing away from making noise. Miami is a qb front office and and 12+ people from making noise.

I like amendola, but RT is going to listen to him based of being with tom brady and its totally going to throw RT off his rocker and confuse him.

Your list of Wilson penalties compared to Landry's is laughable - not even remotely on the same planet when in regards to IQ and keeping composure.

Btw, the scouting reports around the league fully available online indicate Wilson is a high IQ player. Landry is a high motor player - big difference.

an awful lot of medical with eifert. only reason he's out there. when he plays he's a red zone machine but his medical is ugly

fumagali I think does a good job of locating the football late. probably his most endearing quality for me. I'm not as high on him as hurst (more h back type game but with all these slots we are picking up maybe he fits, twitchy polished lines up a yard off the los a lot), goedert (don't see much separation in short areas but he's got a little bit of a kelce look to him once the balls in his hands...raw, frame is ideal), gesicki (im not the biggest fan tested off the charts long strider when you stride as long as he does it's hard to be twitchy as a route runner despite testing it. covers ground in a hurry but looks soft at the catch point to me and in the stem but I need to look more reminds me of coby fleener in a lot of ways), and Andrews (terrific route runner very polished easy to scheme production but can the athlete win when iso'd in space? 7.34 3 cone is ehh)
