Murray complements Kenyan Drake as a powerback and he has good receiving ability (which Gase values). Gotta hunch that he won't be leaving the facility.

Hopefully he doesn't hurt himself picking up the pen. He's a 30 year old RB, which is like a 50 year old QB.

I think he's an upgrade over Damian Williams. However, I also think that we will still look at drafting a running back possibly in the later rounds of the draft. Murray can't be relied upon for a fully season, so I imagine this is more of a depth acquisition (if it happens).
I'd be fine with him getting 5-10 touches a game through the run/pass game. Murray can still be an effective back and can take some of the load off of Drake. I doubt he leaves the facility either. He's going to be a Dolphin. We have an unsuccessful history of signing over the hill players and that includes running backs like Thurman Thomas, Arian Foster, and now DeMarco Murray. What's up with CJ Anderson? I thought we were going hard after him?

This is one move I can't get behind. This has "Arian Foster" written all over it.

I've no major issue with us signing Murray if it happens. We could do worse than sign an experienced player like him to pair with Drake.

Murray has been durable. He missed only one game as a Titan, the last one of the 2017 season. He played in all but one game for the Eagles in 2015. He played in all the games for the Cowboys in 2014. So that's 62/64 regular season games.

Compare that to Foster and it's a different story. He played in four games in the 2015 season before he came here. In 2014 he played 13 games, in 2013 he played 8 games and managed all the games in 2012. So Foster played 41/64 before joining us.

Whats the market like for him? Are there a bunch of teams interested and someone has to overpay or is he looking for a job and we are looking for a compliment? Anyone know the money he wants?

    Interesting idea...

But if I'm not mistaken we don't have a lot of dough, have a #1 RB and need a solid starting DT.

Not that it makes much difference but seems the logical thing would be picking up a good DT ... Unless we just don't have that much dough....cause theres a couple good ones out there.

Hey we got an actual upgrade with the OL and I'm ecstatic

I would like him as a 2nd or 3rd option with a new draftee taking similar snaps. I don't want to rely on an old back as our sole #2.

If it wasn't for his one huge game he would have averaged 3.2 yards per carry last year behind one of the better lines in the NFL and is going to be 30. I'm going to say he's done.

Murray was fantastic in Dallas due to that powerhouse of an offensive line Dallas maintains. After he left Dallas, he wasn’t the game changing running back everyone hoped he would be and at 30, I have a feeling this would be Arian Foster 2.0

If we are not relying on him to do more than 5-10 touches a game and he isn't to expensive I'd be on board with it. I still want to draft a late round guy and i seriously doubt Williams signs up for another year. Pretty sure he would like to be somewhere he could get more of an opportunity.

I want no part of him either. He actually seems older than that, and has a lot of mileage on those legs.

I’d much prefer another younger and bigger RB option, that can grow in the offense to help spell Drake for some snaps.

The way I see it, this team is on a role with drafting Miller, Ajayi and Drake. We don't know much about Perry and our other young RB, but this is one area where I really trust the team to get it right. So if they grab a one-year rental I'm fine with it.....and I'm also fine if they don't.

consistent attrition looks to have set in...it's unlikely to reverse course cause he's in aqua and orange

    pass

bet tbaum drops $5 mil or more guaranteed in his pocket if we sign him
