I'll miss him. Good football player, guy would run through a wall if asked to do so. Giants got a decent player.
Changing culture but you let a guy like MT walk out the door? He could of been fine as a rover Free when McDonald was down as a linebacker.
marginal safety at best...we lost a nickel slot back side blitz option that can't carry coverage and a below average 2 deep safety option. meh best part of his game was specials...I like the udfa kid we picked up last year more...but we still need a safety piece...can't live with walt aikens as the 3rd option...ugh unless they plan on promoting the udfa kid from last year...in preseason he looked like the udfa who earned the roster spot the most... this just helps keep guys like derwin james in play...I've heard miamis sniffing the kid reid from Stanford also as a day 2 option
That was his first week in Miami....he had signed only a day or two prior. I remember that play vividly as well and he said afterwards that he was in almost a panic out there since he got thrown on the field and had to ask others what he was doing on each play. On that particular play, he asked what to do and the other safety said just to play zone, but the Pats had motion and he was looking everywhere pre-snap trying to figure out his assignment. Because he didn't follow the motion as expected, Brady never saw him and threw the game-clinching pick...it still makes me smile. That one will always be special to me- I wish Thomas nothing but luck moving forward.
Was he great? Of course not, but he was one of my favorite guys on the field. Hate to see him go but i wish him nothing but the best!
Best player in a very important 3rd unit of the game that is often overlooked by fans. His ST work was . . . well, special.

Giants seem to land at least one free agent from us every year. They'e like our younger brother getting the hand me down clothes and toys
