I was horribly dissapointed with that movie. I am a huge Tenacious D fan...and I just thought the movie absolutley blew.

30 Days is worth checking out if you're looking for an honest, old-school horror flick amongst the "Who Cares What You Did Last Summer" teenie crap and the completely pointless remakes of Japanese ghost stories that weren't worth the trouble to begin with. Think King's "Salem's Lot" in Alaska and you basically got 30 Days of Night.

As for The Ruins, I wouldn't bother. I read the novel and I can't imagine that the plot carries the movie any better. It's basically a short story in dire need of an editor with a red pencil. Think King's "The Raft" written by Anne Rice and directed by a pre-pubescent Oliver Stone.

 

Contempt - Godard works his magic again, with Brigitte Bardot (who somehow managed to get me on edge throughout the whole movie... naked or not). I know it is supposed to be one of his minor movies. But damn it is good.

 

I finally saw the movie last night. I thought it was good, not great, but definitely a solid horror flick. I also realized that 30 Days of Night: Blood Trails takes place before the movie and 30 Days of Night: Dust to Dust takes place after. If you liked the movie check these out above.

 

I enjoyed 30 Days of Night a much better movie then what I originally expected. Will have to check out the before and after movies mentioned above.

Saw Street Kings last night and thought it was decent. I will say I figured out what was going on when Hugh Laurie pulled up and talked to Reeves before he left to meet up with the two guys. Even before that the thought came to me.

 

Super Hero Movie- Sucks

 

Hellboy and Hellboy 2. Both were pretty good movies.

 

Did you really expect anything else? These movies are horrible. Scary Movie 1 & 2 were decent as was Not Another Teen Movie. But no way in hell would i see this movie. I've seen parts of Date Movie, Epic Movie, etc and these have to be the worst movies ever made. They are just horrible.

 

The Innocents (1961) and The Machinist. Both top notch.

 

Line Watch w/ Cuba Gooding. It was ok.

No Country for Old Men , actually the second time I've seen it, and its still a great movie.

 

Cache (Hidden) - French film about a TV Host who is terrorized but an unknown person from his past. Its a moral tale about guilt and how we deal with it on a daily basis. It was OK, not great. It was very suspenseful at times but left me wanting more.

Death Race - better than I thought it'd be. Nothing great (obviously) but a pretty fun movie.

Last movie I saw was Mummy 3. Took my son to see it. It was okay, not that good but entertaining for the kid.

Very creepy.

When May was a child, she was a lonely girl with one lazy eye and without any friend but a weird and ugly doll kept in a glass case given by her bizarre mother on her birthday. May becomes a lonely weird young woman, working in an animal hospital and assisting the veterinary in surgeries and sewing operated animals most of the time. Her lesbian colleague Polly has a sort of attraction for her.

 

Never heard of it. Is it new?
