For those who are regretting this guy leaving, here's some team culture for you. I hope his *** ends up in jail-

I was for the trade when it happened. Now, it looks like an even smarter move. The guy may not be a criminal, but he certainly has some questionable personality traits, and seems extremely self centered and selfish, not caring much about what other people think.

Well, if the charges are true and the league investigates (which you know they will), the assault will come with a few games off I'm guessing. I agree with you...he's not a criminal...yet he did commit multiple criminal actions destroying property and putting his hands on someone. I don't know CA's renter laws but in some states, willful destruction of property for the amount being accused is a felony.

As far as I understand it, there wasn’t any property damage. The homeowner had a ‘no party’ clause in the rental and invoked it 5 times for 25 grand.

Ajayi’s not my idea of a class act, but I can understand him thinking he was getting scammed.

If there was actual property damage, then my opinion changes.

From what I read, I think he/his guests broke a table and scratched up some floors....which could be a total of $100 damage or $10k in a mansion...who knows?

I'm curious as to why they are calling a 6000 sqft home a "mansion"? lol

There's apparently some question about the home owner's character and the chance he's someone who goes after celebrities with law suits.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bl...mansion-shoved-owner-philadelphia-los-angeles

Either way, Ajayi is no longer a Dolphin and it really doesn't matter what he does or doesn't do, on the field or off it, because the minute he left both he and the Dolphins took different paths. There will never be any way to know what would have been had he been kept.

Well, there is if Ajayi gets time off from this- we know his production would have been zero.

It is pretty funny that he sued Ajayi and Beyonce for the same $25k. It reminds me of the old South Park episode where the Lockness Monster wanted $3.50 from Chef's parents. Here's an audio clip of those parts-

To me that was the funniest episode EVER!

Yeah that’s strange....My house is 1000 square foot and its just a 2 bedroom small home, I don’t even have a dining room......just for a little perspective. Even if my house was 6 times as big it would just be a large house like 4-5 bedrooms 2 full bathrooms a dining room and a den, maybe a sun room/solarium whatever you call that where your from, a nice house for sure, but not what I think of when you say mansion.

I suppose that mansion is in the eye of the beholder. However, having spent a ton of time looking at house plans over the past few years as my wife and I prepared to build our own (more reasonably sized!) house, I can tell you that there are certainly houses that size that I would absolutely consider to be a mansion. A very quick search on my favorite floor plan site came up with these examples.

Or maybe it's because we think it's OK to call another persons opinion or Point of View idiocy.

I happen to agree. I think the NFL should stop legislating morality as much as the USGOV should. I would face disciplinary action for convictions or violations of the law in certain circumstances at my business. But unless I was convicted of a crime my business is and should be mine.

We certainly shouldn't be holding football players to a higher standard than Senators.

My current home is just under 6000 sq ft of finished living space. 5 BR's, 4 baths, a dining room, great room, living room, and a den. The house we are building this fall is right at 8,000 finished and 10,000 in total. I wouldn't consider either a mansion. When I think of a mansion I picture this:

Not all opinions are equal and some are most certainly idiotic. (I'm not talking about Carmen's opinion, BTW) I do disagree with him, though. There is nothing wrong with calling an opinion stupid.

I think society as a whole has stopped legislating morality and that's one of the reasons we have people shooting up schools and Dr's molesting their patients. I think that's smahtaz's point.

How about we hold all people to the same standards regardless of their position in society?

I wasn't calling the opinion idiocy. I was calling trashing someone's property and assaulting them idiocy. I just don't understand why it becomes OK just because you won something.

Morality is just one entity forcing another entity to behave a certain way. It is curious, therefore, that Puka-head wants to force the NFL or the USGOV to behave in a manner Puka-head thinks is satisfactory.

Are you counting a basement (finished or unfinished) in that 8k/10k home? That is pretty darn big! On Realtor.com, it says, "Technically, realtors term mansions as houses that have at least 8,000 square feet of floor space." Others say anything 5k+ is a mansion.

You have to remember, the median home size in the US is 1054 square feet, so your big house is definitely impressive.

Yeah....the 8k sq ft is including the finished, walk-out basement. The first floor is about 4k sq ft, 2nd floor is about 2k, and the finished part of the basement is about 2k. It's 10k sq ft if you include the part of the basement we will use for just storage.

I'm not saying that it won't be a very big house, I just never considered something like that a "mansion". Also, I've read where the average median home size in the U.S. is 2600 sq ft.

My wife and i are actually in contract on a 5400 sq ft home....

Its nice, but HARDLY a mansion. It is on 2.7 acres in Dublin, OH which is a rarity as fast as that city is growing...which is why I gave in to her desire to get that place. Because it is very overpriced.

    But mansion??? Na

The lot is the main reason we are building. Our current house sits on a lot less than 3/4 of an acre. Our new house will sit on a lot over 4 acres and backs up to what's called the greenbelt. That's basically a nature preserve and no one can build on it. So in essence we will have over 1000 acres behind us. :)

    How cow, man!

My previous house was 1650 sq ft after we expanded and remodeled it. The house I'm building now, which is where my wife and I will live forever probably, has a 1400 sq ft main level, a 500 ft bonus room upstairs, and a 1400ish partially finished basement. 3300 sq ft if I'm being as liberal as I can be. Also three porches/decks.

I wonder what the "average" would be if you lopped off the giant ones at the top end? Looking at houses in my area over the past years when we were thinking of buying, the overwhelming majority fall between 1000-2200 sq ft. 3000 is really big, if you aren't counting a basement. 5000 would be less than 1% of the listings. And almost always over a million dollars.

My home is 3,600 square feet, but I also have a 1k cabin and a 600 sq/ft detached garage, plus tons of decks, a concrete pool area, etc. on 5 acres with a big pond in the back. Do you know how much my home is worth? I have no freaking idea because there's not a comp like it within a 100 mile radius. In 2008 it was appraised at 707k....and appraised at 299k in 2011 when we bought it. Zillow says today it's worth 415k but it doesn't know we built the cabin.

So a little advice- if you're building your "forever home" but may not actually be there forever, you could actually lose a big chunk of change by going too custom. My home's value is somewhere in the 300-600k range and that's pretty frustrating not knowing.

The home we are building will be plenty custom, but not weird or the biggest around. And that's the key, Key. lol....Never have the biggest or most expensive house within a certain area.

Saying that, we won't be moving again. This is it. So I don't feel bad doing a few outlandish things in order to get what we want. So far we are looking at about $350/sq ft because of the finishes. My wife describes the look as "Southern plantation meets the Hamptons"...lol...But when it comes down to it, the land and surrounding area is why we bought the lot.
