I’m looking for a few solid drives and 2 scores on offense by half. Defense better show some life and stop the run and short passing game. Baltimore 17 Miami 14
I think the Ravens have a much better option at #2 QB, so their second team should put up some points. I expect more of a 27-13 Ravens win. As long as the offense looks to be gelling off and scores at least 10 pts in the first three drives, I'll be fairly happy. If the defense gets mauled by the Ravens running game though? That could ruin whatever positive things the offense does.
I just figured this out and wanted to share it. If you want to watch the pre-season or regular season games live & for free, all you need is a VPN (virtual private network) that sets your location to Miami. Then you just go to Dolphins.com, click on watch live and you're good to go. I'm trying out Turbo VPN tonight on a 7-day trial and I'm streaming the pre-game on my tablet around 720p. I've had two little lags where I missed maybe a half-second, but otherwise it's a really good stream. Update- the game did drop for me 3-4 times throughout the broadcast and I'd have to refresh the page or reset the VPN. I saw most of the game in perfect 1080p clarity though and the sound was excellent. Even when it would slow down, the picture would blur for a second or two but the sound remained perfect and in-time...then it would blend back to HD without skipping a beat. So if you have pretty strong internet (above maybe 15 down/5 up) then this is the way to go. This is definitely how I'll watch pre-season from now on.
So our 1st team is getting handled by their back ups. I'm not worried cause a lot of you on here say that Gase is being conservative and is gonna call the real plays once the season starts. I'm sure we'll be fine
Im watching on a slight delay but this fumbling by Tannehill is worrisome. Maybe he should start practicing with gloves?
I'm going to enjoy watching Amendola make those kind of catch-and-run plays for Miami. Gesicki needs to play more aggressively.
Gisecki is getting gang raped by the corners and the refs alike. He's still being held 13 yards down the field yet we got that phantom penalty on the illegal contact on the punt? I mean, the guy had both hands on him and was trying to completely wrap the guy up because he obviously couldn't cover him....I have no clue how that doesn't get the flag when that's where the pass went. LOL, these refs must be from Baltimore or something...the officiating is horrible so far. Wake's been tackled from behind a few times as well.
The head ref looks like the father of the guy who is going to bulldoze the rec center to build expensive condos.
Yea I see multiple holds on Wake not getting called. And Gesicki getting mobbed by a DB on the sideline hurt to watch. How about our Top Draft pick making plays. Minkah is gonna be a superstar once he loses his sea legs in the regular season.
I see all of our offensive starters are done for the night. Only 2 quarters? Will they pull the defense too?
Oz is so bad. I'm supposed to believe he is in a real competition with Fales for the #2 QB spot? The only reason to keep Oz is to have a REAL shot at the #1 pick if Tanny gets hurt again this season.
This is Petty's 4th year in the NFL so nope....he's not eligible. He has certainly looked like our 2nd best QB this pre-season; it's a shame he couldn't play tonight to make the argument to be kept as a QB3. Hopefully he lights up the field next week. Side note- Fales looked okay and Osweiler looked plain terrible. He can't do anything in the pocket but freeze....maybe he was trying to turn invisible? Whatever it was, it didn't work.
Clear defensive pass interference call in the end zone, early 3rd qtr missed or ignored, when Owusu went up for that long Fales throw.
The announcer's comment to that play summarized the calls pretty well. He said something like, "Okay, I obviously don't know what pass interference is anymore. I mean...I just don't know what to say here." I thought the no-call with Gisecki was even worse than that play though.
