At long last week 1 is almost here and we can actually watch some real football!

What plans do you have to open the season? Where will you be watching the game, with whom, and at what time?

I'll be over here in sunny Gibraltar. The game starts at 7pm on this side of the Atlantic, and I'll be watching from home. There aren't any other Dolphins fans I know of over here so I'll see if I can rope in an NFL-familiar friend or two for the evening, but if not, I'll be watching with my son and maybe even the wife (a converted former Packers fan - sorry ARodgers :).

I might see if I can grab a few steaks, get a grill going, and make a do of it. :)

    You guys?

4 years running week 1 for me has consisted of the stadium seats at the Mirage in Las Vegas.

For a guy who enjoys wagering on games....it is Christmas on steroids.

Last year was not nearly as fun after the Phins game was moved, so will certainly be much more appreciative to watching them week 1 on a Sunday.

I’m going to enjoy it this season however because I won’t be able to see the Phins play week 1 on Sunday next year........

Because they will be hosting the season opener on a Thursday.

    Now who’s with me!! :2guns:

Game starts at 11pm over here in the UK, so not that bad. Might even manage to see the game out - unless we're getting beasted.

Watching from my settee with several cups of tea and some jammie dodgers or plain chocolate digestives. Might even wear my chinese knock-off Fitzpatrick shirt... Go Dolphins!

I'm going to watch the game at home on a big comfy couch with some ice cold bottles of coke and various snacks.

I'll be at home, watching the game via Sunday Ticket, eating some wings and drinking a few beers. I'll have a few friends over and send the wife and kids over to her mother's house.

I'll be doing the same thing- probably minus the beers personally. The wings and friends are mandatory though!

Most of the games I’ll be home with plenty of IPAs and elk jerky or some grilled ribeyes. I prefer this as it helps me focus on the game and fantasy. Some games will be at the local watering hole with annoying cowboys fans. I like Hooters but for some reason I can’t always focus on the game there.

Depending on how the season goes maybe we should take before and after photos...you know, Game 1 jersey on, all smiles and cheers, game 16, string vest, frowns, lights off hidden in the darkness?

Can you flipping believe that in the Orlando viewing area, CBS is broadcasting...ready for this?

    New England vs Houston!!!!

    Are you freaking kidding me???

Since when did Orlando become a viewing area for Boston or Houston?

That should be a good game at least. Better than getting some bottom tier matchups.
