Happening right now for those who have Sirius. I'm at work and will try to update for those who don't. Coach Reeves is just mentioned how the preseason has showed how well and how far already the phins have come. He said make no mistake this will not be the same team that the NFL saw last year. More to come...
I may have missed it too! Maybe he just hasn't been on the program yet, maybe its a bit later. i'll keep listening EDIT, they are in hour 2/2 for the red zone program. They are still waiting for the two "suprise" caller guests. He should be on when he calls in. Hopefully wihthin this hour
1. Running backward on the PR td...not conventional, but Ginn: " Its not but i do what i do" 2.On penny: Great to have him come in and really become a leader quickly. Transition was smooth. 3. Yr 1 to Yr2 is big development for WR: Last year was a lot of learning schemes and coverages, this year is more just go out, work hard , play and have fun. 4. WR Coach: Has helped him a lot with little technique fundamentals, where to place hands, how to get off coverage, make adjustments in routes, know what situation the qb is in and how to adjust. Go over not just old phin films for learning but past great wr and how they approach plays and watch their tape. 5. Preseason wins: Are small steps in the right direction, chemistry is starting to come together, its something to be positive about. 6. Jets opener - exciting and big for Penny: TG: Have fun, work hard, get pumped for the play on the field, doesn't really matter about the off field issues/storylines. None of that matters. 7. Abruptly has to go, then the hosts laugh saying he has a ST meeting at 2:30 and you better not be late for a meeting (even a minute) when parcells calls one. Analysts after: Pennington is a great pick up for several reasons. Fist settles that positions, no more questions for now. Thats settling for the rest of the team. Second, really rare that you can get a smart guy with 7 plus years experience in this division. He'll be comfortable and know what to expect from the three other teams because of that prior experience. Jets people are going to really miss and see how big of a loss losing pennington was. Both think the arm strength perception is way overblown and really doesn't matter, look at the 70% career completion percentage and winning and winning in playoffs, respected leader. Former teamates of him would all tell you the same thing about Chad. Lots of cliche stuff as usual, but some good points nonetheless.
A note on the question of running back on the punt return, Ted mentions going back toward the wedge, which helped him break it. I thought it was interesting that Coach Reeves and the other guy mentioned a wr improves the most between year 1 and year 2, I thought it was yr 2 to 3. It was kinda funny at the last, Ted was mid sentence and all of a sudden he says Gotta Go! and that was it.
Tell that Coworker that Bill Lumbergh told you, you could listen to the radio at a reasonable volume from 9-11.
Sounds like the rest of the league thinks the Fins will be improved, and we think so too, but they still have to do it on the field. They have to get over that one....losing those 6 games by 3 points is a mental thing they need to get over.
I should have said just that. I don't mind when she tells me to turn Howard Stern down, because I don't think some of the stuff that goes on with that show should be heard by all. But come on, it's the NFL channel! Deal with it. I need to get some wireless headphones or something...my cheap *** speakers don't have a headphone jack.
damn, wish i had been in my car to hear it. sounds like it was a pretty interesting interview. I always seem to miss the phins stuff on sirius
I heard that he was going to be on, then left the truck. So tuned in online at the office I usually miss the phins stuff too.
My office blocks just about anything to do with entertainment and streaming radio and video.. I had found some fox news radio link that actually worked for a while, but that eventually got blocked too.. Sortve sad when I miss the days I could listen to Fox News Radio at work... lol.
