The Jets lost to the Baker Mayfield and the Browns - 17-21

The DOLPHINS beat the Raiders - 28-20

    The Bills beat the Vikings - 27-6 !!! :0

The Patriots lost to the Lions - 10-26!!!

I'm glad our game in Foxborough isn't in the freezing cold.

My crazy prediction was that if things go well we could take the AFC East this year by sweeping the Jets and Bills, splitting with the Pats and the Pats somehow dropping one to the Jets or Bills (despite a better overall record).

A win next week would go a long way towards making that happen.

Josh Gordon didn't debut today. One would expect we'll face him for the first time on Sunday. Will be glad to have Jones back.

If we get Jones back then I really think we have a good shot at toppling the Pats in their house. We've been so conservative (yet explosive) on offense and I think it's been the plan to keep our full offense under wraps until week 4. Seven days until the unveiling folks!

I haven't been here for a while. Are you always this negative or are you just a troll? I can't figure out why you would root for a team that you obviously abhor. Not trying to be a dick, just curious.

Because if he's right and they do lose he can say "see I'm smarter than everyone", but if they win he can say "I'm glad I was wrong go Dolphins!"

It's a win/win for those types of fans.

I'll say this much...if the Patriots lose tonight, that'll be two loses in a row for New England. The odds of them losing 3 in a row are extremely slim to none.

As much as I hate the Patsies, I'm actually hoping they win tonight so they have some false confidence next week against us

I don't see things the same way. If they lose tonight, that's a signal to me that they're starting to crumble. And once we stomp their asses next Sunday, it will be official that the Pats will be playing catch-up all season long.

Never, ever ever root for a Pats win, my friend. One bad season and Brady retires, then the whole thing comes tumbling down.

The last time the Pats lost 3 in a row was in 2002 (they lost 4 in a row from games 4-7). Regardless, I don't like that mentality. We should be the ones to prove the Pats are no longer the dominant force they've been. So I hope Detroit beats them (looks like they might!) and that we beat afterwards so that everyone talks about us being the first ones since 2002 to cause the Pats to lose 3 in a row!

Well the only real playmaker they have on the field is Gronk and he cant catch every pass. No wonder they are taking a flyer on Gordon. They are missing Edelman too.

Theyre not the same but theyll look different once edelman and gordon get on the field.. tho i still think they are lacking big at running back to be any sort of serious threat. They sure miss Lewis and Blount

Two games up on the Patriots!

I'm nervous because I can't imagine them losing 3 straight... especially with the game in New England. But, you never know. Miami may have Josh Gordon to contain. Patriots should also have Flowers and Chung back. They're actually going to be in desperation mode so they don't fall to 3.5 games behind Miami... who could've imagined that.

They looked slow tonight and without weapons. Belicheck Gave a shady handshake towards Patricia. They are hurting right now. Makes it interesting for next week. Thing is, they still have Brady. They look bad though.

This a big opportunity for the Dolphins to put the Patriots in a hole if they can come up big on Sunday. The Phins need to treat this like a playoff game.

    LOL, go Lions!

Howard needs someone to dominate either way, so I don't see Gordon as a major obstacle. We are now two games up on the entire AFC East and a win next week is going to really shake things up for the talking heads that picked us 32nd in the league. I just don't think NE has enough firepower to hang with us this season....I almost think the Jets are a harder match-up for us to be honest.

Want to hear a shocker....we could actually be favored this week in NE! How freaking insane is that? The line opened with us as 7.5 point underdogs; let's see what happens this week.

Total speculation, (would be a great username), but Josh Gordon did not look comfortable on the Pats sideline tonight. I would never wish relapse on an addict, but, (to me), he looked like he was ready to jump out of his skin.

Living in the limelight is not for everyone. As Dolphin fans we have been front row center for probably the greatest example in modern sports history. Ricky Williams had Hall of Fame talent, but the constant scrutiny proved too much.

I think the league is going more towards smaller, quicker players on both sides of the ball. The Raiders looked like big, slow, lumbering behemoths in the 4th quarter.
    NE looked the same.
I like our chances vs NE.

Yes, it would set up the Dolphins to really challenge for the Division crown. The Pats could bounce back as the season goes on -if Gordon becomes a special player, if Edelman is back to form, and Gronk stays healthy. They need more from their defense too, but not that much if the offense is clicking.

Gase and his coaches should be breaking down film from these last two games and figuring out what teams are doing to slow down the Pats.

It tends to be swings and roundabouts.
My theory is that if most teams are looking for small and quick then that talent pool gets picked over quickly and there’s more opportunities to find the big and strong players, and vice versa. For example when the Steelers were about the only team running a 3-4 defense it was easy for them to find their prototypes especially in the latter rounds, but now more teams are taking hybrid defenses the Steelers aren’t finding as many late round gems as they used to.

I honestly can't believe the Patriots lost last night to the Lions. That truly stunned me. The Patriots "never" lose back to back games but they looked pathetic last night. I actually fear next week's game up in Foxborogh however, if we pull out a win up there next week then it's finally happened...

The New England Patriots era of dominance has come to an end

They can't stop the run with 7 and they can't stop the pass without 2 deep. Their defense is a mess.

As we saw what the Bills did to the Vikings, there are no easy games, regardless. NE is going to be desperate and ready...Can they physically match up with the speed of our guys on offense? Detroit ran the ball exceptionally well against the two deep Safety look the Patriots used most of the night.

Jakeem and Wilson make this team different in that we have two players that are both one missed tackle away from scoring from anywhere. I know some people have remarked that we couldn't get our running game going yesterday because Gore and Drake didnt have a lot of yards. But those "passes" to Wilson were the running game.

Getting Gesicki going yesterday could be huge for the rest of the year. Having to cover that guy with a LB is dangerous and putting a DB on him allows Drake and Gore more opportunities. Stills could have a big game as well. If their S have to play up to stop the run, KS should be able to get behind them.

I just hope we have enough DL ready to go. Yesterday...no Hayes, no Spence (jackass), no Branch...it was an "iffy" situation. Don't know what they are going to do with Spence, not sure how badly Hayes is injured. Branch seemed ok. We are deep at DE, but we are also not young.

But beating the Pats, in large part, will being able to get pressure on Brady without having to blitz. If our base package can get to him, I like our chances. If we have to blitz, Brady will find the openings in the defense.
