Jakeem with a 70-YD punt return with 22secs left in the half!!! They’re looking it over. Could be a TD return.
Wow I would not have predicted we'd be up 14-0 early.. dont think anyone would lol. Pleasant surprise though,
I needed to see this game after last week. Problem is, it gives me hope that this balance will continue, and we'll see this offense more often...
If Miami can sort of stave off the pass rush a little and give Tanny some time to open up some things, they could be really fun to watch down the stretch.
If we go 4-1 playing like this.. that hope is based on reality. If we close this thing out I don't want to hear any negativity about the team as a whole. Criticize individual parts all you want but what matters is the team grinding out wins. One half to go.
Yeah, I just want to see this consistently. Problem has been the last couple seasons we'll see this offense do this, and then crawl back into their shell for a few games. I'm so jaded that I find it hard to believe that we'll sustain this type of play.
I called this a gut check game because I wanted to see what kind of character our team has. So far, I am pleased with our effort. It looks like we came to play. Now, let’s see if we can match or exceed the Bengal’s intensity that is sure to come the 2nd half!
I like Nate Burleson showing Tannehill some love. He also has a neat nickname for Grant: Jakeem “The Dream” Grant
We are a 2nd half team, they are a first half team (statistically) So I really like our chances to be honest
It's nice to see how ST can be a major factor in winning. We really haven't had that in a long time. And it's not just this game.
There were two schools of thought before this game- 1) We beat three lousy teams. Whoop-de-doo! NE showed what we are really made of. 2) We beat three teams and got outplayed in NE, but this is still a damn good team. One of those narratives will be eliminated in the next half of football since they can't both be true. I'm leaning heavily towards theory #2 at this point because that was a very solid first half. The defense looks legit once again with Jones in the mix and I'm fairly confident that Miami just missed on two additional TD's (screen to Drake that was dropped, just missed on bomb to Stills w/ the hold). That's not a huge deal though as long as the D keeps performing at this incredible level.
Well, Miami has some significant injuries for this game, also. No McCain, Wake, Sitton, Kilgore, Gesicki is out now. I can keep going. I’ll tell you, Jones makes such a big difference. He plays so fast.
They said a foot. He may be back. But he was out for a bit. Doesn’t help with the run game because they’ve been using 2-TE sets on some running plays.
