Channing who? He wasn't even on the team since Gase was here. Just another irrelevant talking head.

Wow. He was actually pretty good. Hate to say it, but he was pretty much spot on with all he said. Good job, Channing Clam Crowder.

For those looking for a synopsis...

"When you have Tannehill, you know you don't have Drew Brees, you know you don't have Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers--you don't have those guys. He's not Joe Montana. You have to put him in advantageous situations to make plays. And it seems like he [Gase] is just calling the offense he ran with Peyton Manning, where you can't do that with Tannehill. You have to take what you have--just like the Patriots, what Bill Belichick does--you maximize your strengths, and you try to hide your weaknesses. I don't think Adam Gase is going a good job of that."

He also mentioned that, from a defensive personnel standpoint, he doesn't see the "maturation" of the offense that should occur during games and in response to the other team's play style. Thus, he doesn't think Gase can play chess at an NFL level without Manning as his QB.

That only summarizes the first 5 minutes, was there anything else relevent for the rest of the pod cast? I stopped listening after 5 minutes.

Alf, thanks for posting this. Crowder's sentiment is where I'm at.

Also, did you listen to Crowder on the FishTank? His Matt Roth story was one of the funniest stories ever. "My g***** name is Matt! It's Matt!"

This thinking cracks me up. So what would Channing do offensively as a coach?

Lets see...our offensive line isn't healthy and Ryan Tannehill doesn't move well within the pocket.
Ryan Tannehill is a very accurate QB.
Ryan Tannehill struggles reading the field.
Ryan Tannehill struggles with intermediate throws
Ryan Tannehill has been pretty good on deep throws the past couple years
Dolphins weapons are smallish, quick and fast.

All those things point to exactly what Gase calls offensively. Get the ball out of his hands quickly. Let the WRs work on YAC. Then take shots deep.

He’s also said on many occasions that Tanne has a problem feeling the pressure so move the pocket and help him out.
