Didn't spot this earlier... http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...opic-knee-surgery-return-week-7-game-vs-lions "Miami Dolphins Pro Bowl defensive end Cameron Wake underwent arthroscopic knee surgery, a clean-up procedure to remove some cartilage, a league source told ESPN. This type of surgery usually sidelines players for about four weeks, but Wake is such a quick healer that he could be back next week against the Detroit Lions, according to a source."
Damn. My son is a crazy Lions fan. I guess Wake will not be at full speed. Stafford rolls out to his right a lot. I have heard "Theo Riddick" about 10 times since yesterday. Gotta win this one.
Wow. Interesting that we haven’t heard this earlier. I have faith in Wake and how he prepares himself. Let’s hope this rest will have him running on all cylinders moving into the second half of the season. Miami needs it. Those guys are dropping like flies. I’d watch the injury report for Jones and the rookie LB out of Ohio State. That was a bad collision.
The Lions worry me less than the Bears did, so I think we could get by without Wake for another week. I'd rather give him a little more time to heal then rush him back and risk another injury. That said, I would not be shocked if he is ready to go this week.
