*except first and second year players..

Should be on trading block. There isnt anything worth keeping with veteran players.

I named Parker and James because they seem to the most viable...

Get as much ammo as we can for rebuild. I would strip the team down to nothing in 2019....Tank for Tua.

In the meantime, assemble as many quality young linemen as possible. Forget about skill players. They dont matter in rebuild.

Get a serious sf Head Coach...Get a QB. Or with this fan base, Ross may be compelled to move this team. The sucking has to stop.. they need a plan. Thur nite cannot repeat itself.

Ship parker but we need to keep james. We need to focus on the interior line and keep our tackles.
I would see what we could get for jones.I love him as a player but we need to get younger. The overpaying for 30 year olds has bit us in the *** to many times. This will not happen of course because the coaches are fighting for thier jobs.Seems like the same old song and dance every 3 or 4 years with this clueless franchise.

Exactly. And I think the fan base is so abused down in Miami, if there isn't some dramatic change that happens, and happen soon, they are going to lose any local support and start having to look at San Antonio as an alternate home.

I was.down there for lions.game.They don't have any local support anyway.Half.the stadium was lions fans.Lucky for the dolphins miami is a great getaway spot for opposing fans to keep attendance up.

I don’t want this HC or front office anywhere near a rebuild they had their shot and blew it.

I think if we had a quarterback and half the injuries. We would be decent. We have a lot of young players we are depending on. They should get better?

I think gase has promise, and he has been learning how to be a coach while on the job here. (If i remember correctly? Belicheat started in cleveland. Learned how to coach and went to new england?) Get him a decent qb that doesn't fade when we need him the most.

And if our system is causing all of our injuries year after year. Then figure it out. And fix it.
But i do agree. That i am tired of my team sucking so bad every year. People tell me the dolphins suck. And I can’t even argue. Give me something to argue for miami.
And im good with trading anyone. If the price is right

James is a guy that I'd keep. We have seen ineptitude on the o-line. Let's not go down that road again.

But yeah, pretty much your sentiment is on.

Yes keep James i would hate to get Rid of Jones but unfortunately were still years out from being a contender so his big contract is just wasted. Get what you can and find another young Safety and CB.Even with Sitton back next year does anyone think he will last the whole year? We got so many holes to fill they need to start spending wisely.

I do not think we are as badly off as many people in this thread think, at least from a personnel point of view.
Every unit of this team has played at a high level at various points in the year. That shows that we have the potential to be a very good team.
So the real problem isn’t ability, the real problem is consistently producing at a high level. That is on coaching/culture.

No Pauly I think you’re wrong. If the Dolphins don’t win every game we play 157-3, then we suck and we have to blow up the team. We need to start all over again because anyone who is anyone knows the key to a successful team...

Drafting a 1st round quarterback annually and firing your head coach every 2-3 years...

yes, yes... The problem here is that we are not winning by wide enough margin!. We are winning all of our games but these close games are just causing the fan base to go crazy! Another play off win that's only by one touchdown and I have no idea what will happen with this fan base!

    Roflmmfao!!! Yeah. No.

This is an absurd concern, unless Ross can figure out a way to ship his stadium to San Antonio also.

He just spent $500 million to renovate it.

While I understand the sentiment, this stuff is just super unrealistic and doesnt take into account the reality faced by the team.

They are in the thick of the playoff race. Based on that, they will not initiate some great sell-off that could lead to a worse situation and less job security.

Further, mass firesales dont happen in the NFL. They just dont. Rosters are too big, talent too thin and the cap too tricky.

Would I be opposed to trading a guy for a good price? Sure. Do I think we need to trade half our team? Yikes no.

This is not baseball or basketball where resources are deeper. You see good players traded for multiple assets. In the NFL that's not as common barring movement to go after a QB.

Seriously, trade Jones for a 2nd and 5th. What is the likelihood of either actually becoming anywhere near as good? Low.

Teams can and do turn around fast. The key? Coach and QB. Keep the rest of the talent so if/when we hit the right coach/qb combo, we are ready.

Did you see the Rams game? Half the stadium were GB fans. And they're undefeated. Maybe it's the fact that the population in these sunny states like California and Florida are mostly transplants from these clod weather places like NY, Wisc and Detroit. Does anyone even live in Detroit anymore?

This is probally true for the phins. The 70-and early 80s the orange bowl was one of the loudest stadiums in the league.I don't live down there but was wondering when it all changed.
The Rams game was worse than our lions game.I betcha it was over 60% packer fans if not more.

Well the pats D ranked 25th.The chiefs ranked 31st.The diiference they have QBS that can outscore you.
The rules are set for this type of football but we have a game manager not a game changer!

Bingo. Plus, what's the plan to revamp the defense? The draft? We just drafted a stud in Minkah and what difference has it made? I'm not saying to ignore defense, but in this NFL you MUST get a QB. This year especially we are seeing offensive records blown away. We aren't getting a defense that will shut down Tom Brady three times if our offense plays the way it has. We aren't beating Pat Mahomes putting 17 on the board.

Haha!Drafted a stud and the defence is worse.
Here is a stat for you.Top 10 def overall record 42-32.Top 10 off records 47-26.The old saying def wins championships is outdated with all these rules to cater to the offence. The bills are #4 but are 2-5 because they have no qb.

Yep, Sir Knight. The mob mentality will take us back to how relieved we were to have a new coach coming in to replace Wannstedt... what was his name..... Phil something.
And everyone was excited with the new coach, and the new this, and that other player from.......
until they got off the new toy high and the easy picking and got down to the hard rows..... thorns and brushes and brambles in with the 'maters..the handle on the hoe broke, and the tractor - well I knew it was just a piece of **** just as soon as you got it!!!
And as soon as the team isn't rolling over everyone smooth as silk - the South Beach version of that team from Massachusetts - throw the bums out.
And.... it's time to throw out everybody but the baby and start all over again.... for the 5th or 6th or 7th time since St. Don retired.
What is that old joke with the three buzzards waiting for the skunk to die..... "Patience Hell! I'm gonna go out and kill something!"
And the whole thing begins again...
    and again...
    and again....
    etc., etc., etc., etc.
Well, there are two units that have to work, or Superman, the Flash, Hulk, and Popeye with a full load of spinach are going nowhere fast.
That on is the O-line. We have not had a GOOD Offensive line in years.
The other unit could not stop a pregnant polecat pulling a Pickup truck uphill.
    Rebuild the O line again!
Rebuild the D Line Again, along with a few other parts where some are getting kinda rusty and squeaking.
Oh, and find a QB - EVERYBODY knows the one we have no is not worth the powder to blow up a telephone booth. Just ask'em.

WHEN IS IT GOING TO STOP!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Yep, Tom Brady did an incredible job against Jacksonville and Detroit.

I don’t care how good your quarterback is, if your defense is weak and can’t get off the field then Your superstar quarterback can’t get on the field.

Small sample size - every team loses a few games. Over the course of a season, Brady has proven his worth more times than I care to count because **** the Pats.

You can get a new QB and still make defensive changes - it's not an either/or proposition. But to completely ignore QB and say it's not a problem and not something we can or should address prominently is not a winning proposition. Look at the best teams in the league right now - they are either making bold moves at coach and/or QB (Rams, Eagles, Chiefs) or have entrenched superstars (Rogers, Brees, Brady).

You also have to question how much of the problem defensively is Burke rather just personnel.

Not eligible in this draft iirc.

Dude the reason why Tom Brady has been to so many superbowls is because nobody in this ****ty division could find a QB to challenge him.
Do u really think tannehill would have brought the Pat's back against the Falcon?
They won because the team believes in him.
We need to search until we find one or it's going to be the same old 7-9 8-8 bull**** we see every year.
How smart do the chiefs look right now trading the ultimate game manager Alex Smith. They knew they could only go so far with him.Mahomes maximizes the talent they have.Smith held them back.
We keep a qb that is not good as Smith thinking he is going to breakout and become a star. Now the guy can't even stay healthy.
    It's time to move on!

Rankings of last five super bowl winners defenses

    Eagles #4
    Patriots #1
    Broncos #4
    Patriots #8
    Seahawks #1

So four out of five were top five defenses and all five were top ten defenses. Think you might make a case for "defense wins championships" not being outdated

-We horrible on defense , the offense line is hasn't changed , which is horrible , the QB , is not a "ELITE" QB getting payed "ELITE" QB money , the only thing that is steady , is "Cameron Wake" or Rookie Safety "Minkah Fitzpatrick" and or other Safety " Ra shad Jones.

I come here to learn from so many people that know more and smarter then I am about football but as the year is going by I am seeing a lot of those that know more saying dumb stuff...Like we need to completely rebuild..That is not only dumb but very dumb..In case no one notice this year was more or less a rebuilding year and we now have more then a handful of good players that can only get better as the year goes bye..Yall want to get rid of what has already been done and start again?DUMB!!! It took Billicheat 4 years before he started being a good coach and you want to get rid of Gase who has done a lot good things and is still learning?DUMB!! Funny how so many thought he was wrong on things then found out he wasn't and then started praising him and now that Miami had so many injuries are now saying get rid of Gase ..Hell he makes what bad QB's he have look good..It has only been because of his schemes the team has won the games that they did win..No he is not perfect and has called some bad plays but all coaches do from time to time and he will learn from those mistakes ..Like all good coaches ..This is only the first year where the team is more to his liking and he was doing well until the injuries Like I have always felt The Miami Dolphins have some of the worse fans a team could ever have...Give it time for we knew that Miami was very short on good to great players and that takes time.. We still need key players mostly on the defensive front line and even though I like Tannehill we need a very good to great QB and I wish we can find one but still keep Tannehill as a great back up QB ..
