Wow.. that wouldn’t be a bad move. I actually think Grier has done a decent job on the personnel side. It wasn’t too far back that we kept wasting high round picks.. nowadays it’s more like hitting on some and missing on others rather than some Dion Jordan like crap.

I’d be supportive of this: clean out Gase and Tannenbaum but leave Grier.

While I doubt Ross will fire Gase, I do believe he deserves to be. He has stuck with Tannehill when he clearly is no more than a mediocre QB who doesn't read the field well. Also Gase was the clever individual who though Jay Cutler was the answer when Tannehill was hurt last year, that alone proved to me his coaching decisions aren't the best.

I just hope with the win we are gonna get against the suck *** Jaguars, Ross doesn't change his mind.

Update: I thought this was a game we should win. I was wrong as usual.

I was on the side of keeping everyone but after this uninspired effort against a bad, bad team I don't care what happens now.

    Get rid of them all.

I think the only way you can keep Gase is if he gives up play calling and we hire a new DC....but in that case what is the point really?

Tannehill is going to be harder to replace unfortunately.

LOL, I can't believe there are people on here stilling thinking Gase is the answer.

I have never seen a more obvious clean house.

People should be gone by Monday at the latest.

I've been saying for several weeks that I needed to see the season unfold before I'd pass judgement on RT or Gase. I don't think I need to wait for the loss at Buffalo though- Gase is going to be fired next week. I do agree with his supporters that say there's been lots of injuries, etc....but this was a must-win game with your season and your job on the line.....AGAINST a 3-win team. I would personally fire Gase over that and I like him as a coach.

I agree. We haven’t played inspired football since year 1 of Gase’s tenure. If the arrow was pointing up I would be willing to give him another year. Unfortunately, the arrow is pointing down in so many areas, including Tannehill, that I don’t think he can turn it around.

I’ve been one of those who’s defended Gase and blasted Burke. I still blast Burke but I did see something today that really caught my attention.

Down by 3 in the 4th when the defense is struggling to stop an anemic Jaguars offense and being hurt by continued penalties, Gase is sitting on the bench going over his offensive play sheet, focusing more on that than the game itself. That really bothered me.

One of 2 things need to happen. Gase either needs to turn all play calling over to an OC (which many of you have already called for) or demote Gase to OC and bring in a new HC along with a new DC.

The thing though is, a new HC is going to want his own OC and after today’s pitiful performance against Jacksonville, I actually see Ross cleaning house at season end.

We’ll see what happens on Black Monday

It's fine if an OC does it, but NOT the head coach. The job is proving to be too much for the so-called offensive savant.

I think Ross will force Gase to hire a new defensive coordinator and offensive coordinator. Gase needs to be focused on the overall team, not sitting on the bench craftibg dumb plays that dont work. He needs to be focused on things like having the right personel on the field, reading plays on both ends and making necessary adjustments on areas that we arent getting any help from.

No more Gase the offensive guru, hes not a guru, his playcalling is pathetic. Get a real OC, a real DC, and shift your focus to head coach.

    Funny you say that.

BB will step away from the sidelines sometimes - but always to caoch up the defense, he's not sitting by himself drawing nonsense on his clipboard.

Clean it all up from top to bottom. Ross is a terrible decision maker though, so I don't see anything improving so long as he is the owner.

I’ve ask to have this done for 2 years. If Gase was to stay for his hot seat year than he has to let go of all the offensive and defensive coaching aspects and be a simple headcoach

I better not hear Bill Cowher or Jeff Fishers name... do not want...

I wanted Mike Zimmer herewhen he was available..

Yeah, I can't believe this the performance we put out today. Completely unacceptable at this point. This team is too wishy washy for me and it all comes down to not having stability at the QB position. Until this team gets a franchise level talent to lead this team, we will never win a damn thing. Of course I always believe we still have a mathematics of chance until we don't anymore and then the real true hot takes come out of me. Regardless of injuries, there really shouldn't be any excuses. We suck....and will continue to suck until we get a Quarterback. I realize that makes it sound like it's alllllll Ryan Tannehills fault, but that is not what i'm saying at all. I'm saying that having a good quarterback will always give you hope and will always give you a chance to win every Sunday not matter the circumstances. Even the teams that have really good QB's on them this year that aren't in the playoffs still have had a legit shot at winning every Sunday this year. I realize Matt Ryan, Cam Newton, Stafford, Cousins, Aaron Rodgers (to name a few) are going to miss the playoffs, but the difference between those teams and ours is that they have Quarterbacks that EVERYONE in the league fears regardless of record. Nobody wants to play those guys, and everyone knows that they are capable. Christ look at what Rodgers is doing today in a meaningless game. I bet it's a lot easier missing the playoffs while still knowing that you are set at the most important position in football. That's all i'm saying....We need to move on from Tannehill at this point. If that means reaching in the draft, then so be it. We have to upgrade from him, and worst of all....I can actually see him back....again....next year....as our guy once again.

I am just guessing, but I don't think a lot of our players feel inspired to play for Gase or Tannehill for that matter. Right now, playing for them is just a job when it should be so much more and they should be working so much harder. Sadly, guys who are there to just collect a check are going to give us the uninspired play we witnessed today.

Yeah, I've been thinking the same all season long.....but we'll be explosive next year with all our talent back! I realized today that it's probably a "fool's gold" way of thinking and I am officially out of the Gase fan-club. If he gets another year then so be it, but I would personally fire him.

RT is a different story though. I'm 99.9% sure he's not the guy we need, but I also think he has to start until we have his replacement. It would be incredible if that turned out to be Luke Falk...I'm not betting the farm on it though.

Gase is dead to me and so are all of his supporters. On his very best day he's mediocre. Most days of his football coaching career though, he's been a bum. This guy has literally never been good, before the Dolphins he was the OC of a 3-13 team.

People can use deductive reasoning to understand why they should fire Tannenbaum but they can't say the same things about Gase? I surely hope you're not wanting to keep him cause we were 1 and done in the playoffs in 2016. I would register a guess that the ceiling is mediocrity for some fans. I guess that's what happens to some fans when the franchise has sucked for 2 decades! Regardless in the last 2 seasons we currently sit at 13-17 under Gase.

In 2016, we were one and done in the playoffs with our backup QB- which is perfectly understandable under a 1st year coach. We did win 9 of 10 though and all I could think was, "I can't wait until we have Tannehill back to see what this offense can really do."

In 2017, I almost don't consider that a football season between the hurricane, all the travel/missed practices and Jay freaking Cutler. Moore should have started and we probably wouldn't been 8-8.....which is acceptable for a 2nd year coach without his starting QB. I personally wrote that entire season off because there just wasn't enough there to judge one way or the other.

In 2018, for me it was the year of no excuses- I was finally ready to see what I've waited two seasons for. Yet down goes Tannehill, Wilson, Grant etc. and most of our offensive line. I stuck to my guns though- no excuses....even though Gase probably deserved to have a few. For instance, today we played without our top 3 defenders; we knew that we'd get torched all day long. But even so, the mark to win was 18 lousy points......and we didn't even come close.

I'm fine with Gase getting another year and honestly, I'm fine with Gase being fired. Either way, the team has given up two weeks in a row and I feel like Gase has given up in 5 or 6 games this season with the way he's called the 4th quarter. I mean, we've blown 3 fourth quarter leads in the past 6 weeks against good and bad teams.....we could easily be sitting at 10-5 right now. And we've also beaten some very good teams this year so it's not that we don't have the talent.
