It wasn't entirely successful, but I want to take a minute to say it wasn't the worst 3 year stretch ever.

Year one we had the excitement of a late season run to the playoffs. It didn't last long but it was fun. It was something not a lot of us expected the way the team came together down the stretch with Matt Moore.

Last season wasn't very fun I'll admit. Most of us pretty much accepted the season as lost from the start with Cutler at the helm. We had some good games and hope but it never materialized.

This year we came out really hot before getting destroyed by injuries. I have no idea how this team would have performed if it was able to maintain any semblance of health, but those first 3 games had us riding high.

Sure after that it was a bit of a rollercoaster that mainly went downwards, but we had some hope until the last few games at least if nothing else.

So it's time to move on, but I'm not going to pretend like Gase is the worst coach ever. If a few things went different the entire story might have changed, but they didn't and that is life.

So goodbye Gase, I personally have no hard feelings. Hopefully both parties can find a better match for their personalities and goals.

    Both parties? LOL.

Good riddance. His smug was only rivaled by Nick the Satan himself. There are better people in this world to root on than that false whisperer.

In terms of combined offensive and defensive production (i.e., point differential per game) it WAS the worst ever 3 years for us since 1970. You have to go back to George Wilson before Shula came along to find as bad a point differential as we've had. And being near the bottom of a 32 team league is FAR worse than near the bottom of a 10 team league (AFL).

In terms of win% it was mediocre as usual, just like under Sparano and Philbin. No season under Gase was as bad as that 1-15 season under Cameron. But continued mediocrity makes each extra season of it feel even worse because it seems like you can't get out of it.

All in all, excepting George Wilson's pre-merger crap, this was as bad a 3 years as we've had under any HC that coached that long.

I’m not sure about ever but outside of the first year where we backed into the playoffs and got whipped first weekend this team has been broken.

Worst defense the dolphins have ever had let that sink in we have been really bad in the past this year was the worst!

He backed Ryan tannehill who missed 26 games I believe in his first three years and never addressed the future.

His locker room and very talented players turned against him for his treatment of special people.

He tossed his players under the bus like real leaders don’t do.

For all his QB guru status he was hired for he had to constantly dumb down the offense to basic screens and tricks because he couldn’t get more or couldn’t design a game plan for opponents.

Yeah maybe he wasn’t the worst ever but man he sucked her in Miami maybe he will make it somewhere else!

He was a combination of Jim Caldwell and Lane Kiffin..

Got a job after riding Peyton manning’s jock. And He was an excuse maker and threw everyone else under the bus much like Kiffin.

Id even say Sparano was a better coach. At least the players loved him. Gase didnt know how to organize a gameplan, didnt know how to adjust, didnt know how to call plays, and the players hated him. So he was worse than Sparano. Hell possibly worse than philbin.

I just despised how he conducted himself, especially that smug look on his face and pithy responses any time anyone questioned his decisions.

Call me crazy, but I like coaches who hold themselves accountable and are leaders of men. Gase couldn't lead a 18 year old boy to internet porn.

Last two years Miami was 26th or worse in points on offense and defense with over 100 negative point differential in the last two years.

The fact Miami has 13 wins in the last two years is crazy. Maybe Gase will be good once he fixes whatever is wrong with him. However, the last two years have been pretty terrible.

Yea, the win loss record doesnt tell the story. We were far more talented in his 3 years than the national media gave him credit for. The talent diminished this year on the defensive line, however, this team was still loaded with players. Players that were constantly put in bad spots to perform. Injuries were a lot, and tough for anyone. But the team still had players around the field and still fell completely flat in every sense of the word outside of the win and loss column. And with that said, we still only won 7 games. Could of easily been 5. We got so lucky out the gate facing bad teams and punching some people in the mouth that didn't expect it. But in a very Gase coached team fashion, once we were figured it, it was night night.

I would also like to see him take more personal accountability. Its just not enough to make me hate him.

Gase screwed the pooch marrying himself to Tannehill.
I will never understand why he made ZERO effort to develop a plan B... one the great mysteries as it defies logic.

When the walls started caving in and he realized that he was doomed in Miami, he made an effort to hasten his departure.
Fairly confident he intentionally "threw" the last 3 games after the Colts loss.
